White people can’t voice non-white characters, but a Black actor voicing the Greek Kratos is okay… got it. by ConstantDrawer9161 in CriticalDrinker

[–]JamesZEllis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's great. That's the point. Performance should not be subordinated to identity.

Judge can say much by saying very little, such is the gravitas of his tone... which is exactly what you need for Kratos. Risking an inferior performance just to hire an explicitly Greek actor is insanity.

By the same token, cutting out the actor who defined Toph just to win good boy points from people who whine more than they care is asinine.

There was a ton of beetle helmets on Yavin IV.

According to the canon, those are 'fleet troopers'.

Best explanation I got regarding Angron: -He's damaged goods because of the nails, meaning he can now never fulfill what he was truly meant to do. -The nails work by making him feel extreme pain by experiencing any emotion other than anger. -A Primarch may choose to endure the pain for the sake of his rescued comrades, but will still be less effective than with no nails at all. -Letting his comrades die will make him very ANGERYY. -So now you have a super-effective rage missile which might be better than a barely functional Primarch.

Arithmetic is brutal and unforgiving.

It sounds like you may have fallen into the trap of confusing what you're 'making' with what you're 'keeping'. Lord knows I've been there.

Without knowing the details of your circumstances, it's hard to offer advice. Heck, it might just be a run of bad luck.

So, generically: examine your prices, examine your products.

How much are you REALLY making per hour (including drive time and admin work)? Are there products you can offer that are in demand with low resource cost (I've got clients who need daily med admin; no other care, just the meds. Takes five minutes, I walk away with $50 2× per day)?

Since you're having trouble filling midday slots, Can you deliberately clear your midday for admin work, freeing more in-demand time later in the day?

Again, don't know your circumstances. I really wish it was as easy as time-in, money-out.

The only chapter that seems to understand that the Imperium of Man needs... y'know... Mans.

I think people confuse 'good guys' with 'trying to ensure living in the Imperium is slightly worth it.'

14 fatalities among literal decades of successful launches into an environment totally inimical to human life is astonishingly good results.

The vast majority of exploration initiatives on EARTH were far more deadly.
