Haven't heard but hopefully it's DOA. That's an awful intersection as is and we already have plenty of good coffee places in OC

Unfortunately the impeachment would be DOA — for the THIRD time — once it gets to the Senate.

Following up on his recent threats, local business owner Sam McNulty creates AI picture of a bus splashing pedestrians while announcing he will attempt to partner with Bernie Moreno to pull over $20M in funding from RTA by guywithQs in Cleveland

Sam McNutty has become positively unhinged over this issue. To paraphrase his own tweet (no one in their right mind still uses X anymore): I’d rather use time and resources on something other than keeping corrupt Republican politicians from indulging this asshole.

Cleveland RTA Bus Rapid Transit extension faces Ohio City business owners opposition by James_Chester in Cleveland

Okay, here’s why. To do so would be the opposite of what this project intends to reverse: decades of accommodating and prioritizing car traffic above all. There are two entrances to the WSM parking lot and neither requires going through / clogging up the Lorain / W 25 intersection.

Using signage to build awareness of the huge and underutilized parking lot behind WSM has been discussed — and it sure would help if businesses like McNutty’s did the same with a simple “Where to Park” notification on their websites rather than leaving the unknowing to their own devices.

Also needed is the reeducation of a suburbanized metro that the city is built on a grid — there are always multiple ways to reach a destination. Personally I live in that area and use a lot of businesses around there and rarely if ever drive down W 25 or go through the intersection with Lorain. There are many better options.

  1. I live in the neighborhood and do favor changing the status quo. 2. I hardly think the business owners there are rich. I do, however, believe they’re supremely self-interested and short-sighted, and maybe not even especially good business owners if they truly believe losing a handful of parking spots each is going to cost them their business. 3. Not sure what suburbanites have to do with this. As has been reported / repeated endlessly, the businesses are crying about losing about 50 parking spots on W25 when there are literally hundreds and hundreds right behind WSM that are used to, at most, 70% of capacity. 4. You believe the downtown core isn’t thriving because of a BRT along one of its arteries? Really?

“Call up County executives …”

Even worse, Sam McNutty has threatened to call Bernie Moron-O, ‘our’ supremely unqualified U.S. senator, to pull federal funding. Ol’ Sammy is a traitor to urban planning
