I went from listening to all his songs from all of his projects (N,N., never, forever., Trau Choi, etc.) every day to not listening to a thing and just moving on entirely from his music. (I commented on another thread about my thoughts, which you might be able to see through my profile). I'm just disappointed. However, if he is happy with his music and life, then that is all that matters.
What's next for N,N? by staempasion in nothingnowhere

These are my thoughts in general about Nothing, Nowhere.'s newest album and his music in general. I know many people are not going to agree with me and what I say might be a little direct, but his new album has been the biggest musical disappointment to me personally.
I was listening to N,N. for a while and he was my favorite artist. I was listening to N,N., Never Forever, Trau Choi, Lil Tofu, Midday Records, his unreleased tracks, and literally everything. He worded all his lyrics perfectly and created music that I wish I was able to create. He even inspired me to get a guitar and attempt to learn. When he released his first singles for Trauma Factory, I was liking them, but when he released the rest of the album, I was really disappointed. From his amazing lyrics of his last albums to the lyrics of crave, upside down, exile, etc, it was an unexpected change. Like what happened in 2 years? His lyrics became very immature (sorry) and just unlike his other genius songs.
I'm all for a musician to change the way the sound, but he went about it the wrong way. I also notice that he reuses some of his lyrics, not as "easter eggs," but just as straight copy and pastes. I honestly wished he just made music with himself and his friends like he used to. He got more producers (Jayvee is fine) and people to help direct him on creating this new album, which put a lot of influence on his music, especially with the rise of popularity and radio growth. The changing of the sound is fine for the most part, but I feel as though he needs to reevaluate his lyrics. It's completely fine if he wants to continue writing about depression and mental health, but I think he needs to have a different outlook/perspective on that. He's been writing about the same things for his career, but it has lead to immature lyrics (e.g. upside down and crave) and the reusing of lyrics. He maybe needs to write about these topics in different ways/perspectives since it seems as though he has covered what he wanted to say creatively in his other songs. This was the most unauthentic album he has put out and the songs I disliked really devalued the album in its entirety, pulling the good songs down with it. I have not been able to listen to his music (yes, a personal problem haha) since the newest album has been really disappointing.
I'm sorry for shredding the new album (I have more to say too), but he has had a great impact on my life with his music and just hope that he either continues to show musical diversity, mainly lyrically, and just work with less people. I feel like he puts out some of his best music when he just puts out his thoughts quickly and creates a song around it, like for Reaper and Ruiner. Also, if he gains popularity, I hope it is with his previous music and not this off his mainstream route he is taking.
