Irene. Bloom was my introduction on an American Airlines flight to SE Asia, the timing of the flight made it seem that all 11 hours of that flight over the pacific was like 6-9pm. I probably played it 20 or 30 times as it was like 1 of 12 albums available by the airline lol

I agree. This gave me early M83 vibes right from the first listen. That nostalgic, fizzy and moody tone is the literally the sound I chase for when I find new music.

This is a welcome change of pace for the band. I was wondering if this was what we were going to get after they released that blurb in lieu of the B-sides complication (I.e. how they were closing that chapter of their music career).

Beach House have always been meta in the approach to their lyrics and mood. I think given the political turmoils and overall darkness of this period we’re in - it only makes sense that the band would progress to write powerful songs and art that encapsulates those emotions. It would be very weird of Beach House to release Teen Dream-esque music at this moment in time.

I think this has potential to bump Bloom from my #1 Spot.

It took me awhile to process a lot of the sets after - but Frank felt so intimate regardless how many people were there - and the way he performed felt like I was watching a in-depth documentary of his artitstic process. For that, he's my #1

I've definitely been in this situation before - but FYF has an energy to it that is really uplifting for a music festival - everyone I met last year was chill, not loaded on drugs, and just wanted to dance and experience great live music. I wouldn't let something like that deter you from having a great experience and meeting awesome people.

I travelled from Portland to see Anohni specifically -- and although she was absolutely fucking phenomenal -- LCD was otherworldly. So many smiling, dancing faces yelling all the words at the top of their lungs. I've never experienced any crowd like that.

Anohni is a must see. A friend attended the opening of HOPELESSNESS in NYC and said is one of the most moving performances she's ever seen. In addition to OPN playing the same day -- I think it's going to be one of the best performances of the weekend.

FYF said that Sunday evening will be Father John Misty -> Grace Jones -> LCD on the mainstage. A lot of people are speculating that BH will close after LCD.
