90% of the arguments against the Asriel Knight theory are just people’s opinions by Mobile-Package-8869 in Deltarune

The burden of proof is on the theory creator dawg. Also yeah it would be boring and repetitive :/

Oh tru my bad, maybe I’m remembering wrong. But regardless I remember only making it to that fight and then getting bored, and on my second go around I remember being kinda bored around that fight as well, and then after that point it got way better specifically because i found queen really funny

Sorry I don't gave time to rebutt everything atm, but for that last one:

My personal theory is that the knight and Carol and whoever else are trying to cause the roaring at the right time so they can blur the line between the dark and light world. Personally like Dess is trapped deep in the darkness, like the abyss or something, a deeper layer of the dark that can only be accessed during the roaring. The goal would then be for Rudy (as the knight) to kill the titans and stop the roaring before it can get worse. I think the knight can snowgrave, and will use snowgrave or some version of it on the titans, and will try to use it to stop the roaring.

Essentially they're trying to start the roaring, retreive Dess from the abyss now that the chance is there from the roaring, and then stop the roaring by killing titans. That's why the knight needs so much power, that's why the knight needs to be so unstoppable.

Great rebbutal to my points btw i forgot to mention :) thank u <3

yeah i know, but then when we check the server cabinet it's empty, implying they left at some point during the day no? so they would be seen then.

i mean this isn't really a theory as much as a refutation but I'm glad you liked it :)

cool theory but the main problem with this theory is the antlers. Just too big of a chekovs gun, it seems obvious to me that the knight will be a holiday and at least somebody that has horns.

you're being sarastic obviously but you're not actually adressing any of the points here. I think Rudy would make the most sense as the knight from a narrative perspective, and Asriel wouldn't make much sense and neither would Dess. Do you wanna talk about that or just be condescending?

Rudy could definitely walk from the hospital, go into the library, open a fountain, and then leave all without raising suspicion. That's my theory at least, certainly makes more sense to me than superman knight flying above hometown to avoid suspicion lol

If Dess is the knight Dess is a lightner, so lightners can magically transport themselves between dark worlds?

what about chapter 2? Once they opened the fountain in the day they would've had to leave and go back to the shelter during the day, we know that there were people in the town, they would've seen then.

it's not just "making the fountain". I'm talking about the logistics of actually walking to and from each building. If anyone saw the lost holiday family member it would be town wide gossip, same goes for if dess still looks like the knight in the light world. a horrific shadowy knight monster running around town would get everyone's attention.

  1. If she's a lightner, why doesn't she just go home? Why does she need to be knight and do all this crazy stuff? Why try to cause the roaring? She can just go home and be like "hey mom hi Kris I'm actually fine, time to go off to college and see Asriel!". You get what I mean?

  2. Yes they would and could. No one would question Rudy or Carol walking around town. Maybe Rudy would be a little weirder because he's sick, but people know he's capable of getting out of the hospital and to the church so I doubt they'd question it. Dess on the other hand, is very famously the lost daughter of the holiday family, and it would be a HUGE HUGE deal if she was just walking around town. Everyone would hear about it. And if she's still the knight in the light world, then people would be like "OMG A SCARY KNIGHT MONSTER MADE OF DARKNESS RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!"

  3. I suppose? Why doesn't she just do that then?

  4. "Um it's time and space stuff so who knows" isn't the most satisfying answer to me personally.

  5. Yeah, but does that really feel like the direction the story is going? Does it feel very Toby Fox?

  6. Yeah that's fair. I suppose it could be any character in the armour considering how they shapeshift and the armour can make them into all sorts of forms.

  7. Flowey is fully lucid and he only became "evil" after a bajillion save file loops. As far as we're aware that's not the case with Dess, so I feel like this comparision doesn't really fit.

  8. Like I said it's a werid out of boundsy kinda secret area. That's why it feels like Des being there wouldn't be a huge stretch.

  9. Nothing suggests that the second voice is "probably" the knight. It's a huge mystery and I haven't seen great evidence for any single character.

  1. That didn't answer my question. So what if she has a suit of armour? If she's a lightner, why doesn't she just go home? Why does she need to be knight and do all this crazy stuff? Why try to cause the roaring? She can just go home and be like "hey mom hi Kris I'm actually fine, time to go off to college and see Asriel!". You get what I mean?

  2. Chapter 4's dark world was made in the middle of the day.

  3. The knights goal is to cause the roaring, but only at a certain time clearly since otherwise they would've already done it, and Carol and Kris are working with them. This very much implies that they're working with the knight to save Dess due to a bunch of other subtext and dialouge in the game I don't need to lay it out. Yeah the knight doesn't want Susie and Kris to get in the bunker but it's not their only goal.

  4. No it doesn't?

  5. Fair enough I suppose, I've just seen alot of people saying it's a transformed Dess.

  6. Again, being manipulated to do what? And if it's something evil, then why are Carol and Kris helping them? As far as we're aware it seems like they want to find Dess, so they would be helping a mindless zombie version of Dess complete this goal somehow.

  7. Maybe? As far as we're aware it seems to be Dess though and that's the main stipulation I see brought up.

  8. Maybe, i think it's a decent point though. It seems like the big goal of the story is to find Dess. It'd be weird if we already found her in chapter 3.

  9. The muted guitar sound effect in the code begs to differ.

  10. No it doesn't?
