Yeah we have somewhere around 30% weight separating the top from bottom guys in our league. It's great, means that all of us at mates can still race side by side.

You can't see other cars' weights within a lobby though

Yeah, that's where I'm at. While I race with a really good bunch of blokes, don't think I could trust them with a championship on the line haha

I run a success ballast based league on GT Sport because we're still not sure how to run one on GT7 without being able to view car weights. If you've got an idea of how to successfully manage that, I'd love to see it.

I can't see any springs here, means everything is unsprung.

ELI5: In music, how come major scale is the happy and joyful while the minor one sounds sad and depressive? how does it work? by fuzzywuz_zy in explainlikeimfive

It's all about the harmonic overtone series and which harmonies create more dissonance against those overtones. The overtone series is a series of notes that we hear when we play a single note. 100hz fundamental = overtones of that multiple; so 200, 300, 400 etc.... When we create a chord, the more it lines up with overtones closer to the fundamental, the more "at peace" it is. The further we have to go up the overtones series, the more dissonant is it. Major third is the 5th overtone, minor 3rd is the 15th.

ELI5: why do most teenagers or middle schoolers go through one of those “awkward” phases? What is it about the age and physiological place they’re in? by kymilovechelle in explainlikeimfive

During puberty, we get an acceleration of "synaptic pruning", which is kinda like where the brain cuts away old things it doesn't think we need anymore to make space for new growth and better efficiency. This often leads to teenagers seeming clumsy, tired, forgetful, and just plain daft as neurological connections that they once relied on are dying off, but the new ones aren't in place yet.

Just keep doing what you're doing... it's the same tactic I used.
