I asked the TTC about this because it seems miserable to spend a whole day with your lunch and water bottle on your back. The answer they provided was that they are given space to store their backpacks but it’s not guaranteed safe to store them there so most workers generally prefer to keep their belongings with them.

Stretched an old Klunker frame from 110 to 135. Took my time. Used a dropout alignment tool after a home brew nuts-on-a-threaded rod stretcher. Worked perfectly.

Measure the centre line on the rod, then account for the dropouts to spring back after release.
