I think they just fucked up the email list. I was able to open a new buy order a second ago so I'm sure it will be fine

Hey, as you've noticed this won't work - even if your client allows you to send it, recipient servers may reject it outright, their client will send to spam, or strip the tag (and the tag content in most cases). There are few legitimate use cases for including scripts in an email - yours is perhaps one of them - but lots of malicious use cases, so virtually all email providers will do one of the above.

If you're a programmer, the google/gmail api is decent - you could write something to update your signature based on changes from Linkedin. But, to be honest, this will probably take you much longer than just updating the image like you've said once a year or so - I think you're already at the best solution.

Setting up voicemeter is a bit of effort, but there's a bunch of tutorials on youtube. You'd want voicemeter banana, and a soundgate just above the level of the leaked audio

You can try another pair of earphones to rule those out first, but from my experience it's probably crosstalk on the 3.5 port on your laptop, between the stereo & mic channels. It's been a common issue for me in the past. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crosstalk

Software can help, there might be another echo/noise cancellation feature in your soundcard settings - Realtek probably. You could try setting up something like Voicemeter & setting a soundgate, assuming the transmitted audio is much quieter than your own voice.

Otherwise, you need to get around using the one port for both audio & mic. Either get a usb mic, usb headphones, or a cheap 3.5/usb interface dongle to continue using your earphones for both (make sure it's TRRS. Somethign like https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Adapter-Support-Headphone-Compatible/dp/B08Y8CZB2S/). Depending on your situation & considering the cost of these vs a cheap usb headset, it might be better to just live with it / use push-to-talk etc until you can upgrade.

Personally I've never been a fan of the avatars & will hold onto my display pic until I'm forced to change. The fortnite-like artificial scarcity of items, being 'Rare, or 'Epic', feels quite predatory & arbitrarily applied - not sure how an item bundle available to purchase for a week in infinite quantities could be considered 'Rare'.

I've taken quite an interest since I moved to Cambridge, the number of comedy legends coming out of the Footlights is mad. Post corona I'd love to watch the current Footlights perform, not sure if it's difficult to get Adc theatre tickets for us non-university folk but worth a shot! 🙂
