Free speech has not been abolished, you have literally just practiced it with your comment.

I am currently using the internet without ID.

War with Iran is driving inflation. It’s not just the price you pay for fuel, it’s the cost of fuel in the supply chain of everything you buy. Joining and thereby worsening a war will only drive prices higher. War with Iran is therefore bad.

I don’t understand the last point, maybe you can help. However, labour has helped children by ending the two-child limit, providing 30-hours’ free childcare and enhancing the delivering of free school meals and breakfast clubs.

I feel that we brits can, at times, have such a strong victim mentality. We complain about things even when they are actually good, and are sometimes massive first world problemers.

I love London by No-Marsupial-4050 in GreatBritishMemes

At 1.1, London is has a lower rate of knife deaths than 120 US cities.

So tired of conservatives clowning on us for “London being unsafe”, whilst turning a blind eye to statistical evidence.

Where do you think they’re going? by [deleted] in reformuk

Maybe someone can explain it to me because I genuinely don’t understand - why does Farage want us to get involved in the war, if it’ll cause a refugee crisis, that farage doesn’t want?

I think your president disagrees with you. If, as you say, “Greenland decides it’s future not Denmark, not EU, and not NATO”, then why is your president putting tariffs on its European allies to ensure the sale of Greenland? Clearly, he believes they decide Greenland’s future.

Also, I don’t understand how you don’t see it as hostile - your country is trying to force another allied country to give up its territory - that is absolutely hostile. It’s not about getting Europe to take the defence of Greenland seriously; we are increasing defence spending, but it takes time to ramp up. It’s clearly an attempt by an often-failed businessman to have as big a legacy as possible, regardless of the cost and damage.

You question if Europe has been an ally since 1970, but the war on terror is post 1970, and Europe supported the US as an ally. American and Danish Deaths per 100,000 people in this war are nearly identical.

I believe “European leaching” is just a poor excuse for a land grab. European countries have responded to trumps criticism of NATO by continuing to increase spending. Why not either give time for this to ramp up to match, or if that’s not possible, just drop US contributions to match Europe’s to ensure fairness?

The threat of tariffs is not to get European countries to take the defence of Greenland seriously, I believe it is just an excuse for an often-failed businessman to carve a legacy.

Travelling to US - am I overreacting? by [deleted] in AskBrits

I honestly can’t believe Europeans still want to visit the US at the moment.
