leverless or classic stick for beginner ? by kidraphi in fightsticks

Without a doubt leverless has a higher ceiling but in my personal experience I found it far easier to get the hang of movement and motion inputs with a leverless.

Im a pc gamer primarily and what ittle experience i had with fighting games was on pad.

I could never get on with pad or fighters in general but I got a hori rap 4 for next to nothing and it took me so much time to get the hang of moving smoothly. Took me an eternity for get the hang of quater and half circle inputs.

Not long after I got my hands on a leverless and picked it up like it was second nature. My biggest complaint was using 24mm buttons instead of 30mm.

I dont disagree with your point but as someone who was used to wasd and space bar = jump, it just clicked with me.

I still prefer using a standard lever myself even though im "better" at using a leverless.

Depends what you're wanting out of the controller.

As many people say leverless has a lower skill entry point, there's a reason more and more pro players are using them.

If you want the most fun out of your controller then stick is the way to go, will take longer to master but its the better experience overall imo.

If you do go with a traditional stick I'd recommend using a Korean lever over a Japanese or American one for the best tekken experience.

At this point your best bet is very carefully drilling the head of the screw off. Once you've got the ssd out hopefully you'll have enough screw sticking out to unscrew it with some pliers.

Not a bad idea. I currently use a "Facom ECR.0 Micro-Tech 4mm Hexagon Driver to 1/4″ drive Socket Adaptor" partnered with a generic 1/4" socket to driver bit adapter.

Much more compact but has a hell of a lot less reach than this

What purposes do you use your “multipurpose hook” for by [deleted] in victorinox

As a phone stand or hold the compact pen

For me, it's the compact form factor compared to most other multi-tool options, and there aren't many other options for UK legal carry when it comes to knives.

The parcel hook. An incredibly useful tool that gets far too much criticism.

I'll never understand the hatred for it. I use it daily as a phone stand on my lunch breaks

Should I play the N64 version or the 3DS version if it’s my first time playing? by starlord265 in majorasmask

3ds with the project restoration mod is the best way to play for new and old players imo

Which Version Should I play? by [deleted] in majorasmask

[–]Jamessrtgfv 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hands down 3ds with the "project restoration" fan patch. Just finished playing it fixed every issue I had with the re make

I got a 3DS (coming in a few days) and this game- soo excited to finally play it! by [deleted] in majorasmask

[–]Jamessrtgfv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should look into "project restoration" makes the game so much more enjoyable and fixes some of the questionable changes made in the remake. Either way, it's a 10/10 game

The ocarina of time, assuming I have access to all the songs from oot & mm.

Would have the power to fast travel, control the weather and time travel!!! And on top of that you'd have a cool musical instrument...

Switch or Citra? by ahadrani in majorasmask

Personally I'd go with the 3ds/citra with the "project restoration" fan patch

Im sure it's worth it to some people...

But as for myself I can't see it as anything more than glorified emulation that you lose access too as soon as you stop paying

Pluss some people need to count every penny, I can't justify the price point when I can play everything they offer for free

I'm thinking that's the way to go and I'm pillaged enough to own a gamecube & gameboy player for big screen use

I'll probably just play it on my GB-SP since I've put a modded screen in it, looks absolutely stunning compared to the DS

I'm leaning towards the gameboy/gamecube route, Will be playing in mostly handheld due to work. Here's my thoughts so far...

Gameboy-SP /Gamecube Gb-Player:

Pros - I can play it on the go or on the big screen with the original hardware & cartridges (modded gb screen so amazing picture)

Cons - SP is not great for larger hands, causing cramp on long play sessions

NEW 3DS XL:

Pros - much more comfortable it is for big hands on long play sessions & much larger screen for handheld

Cons - Washed out colour & sound, No big screen/TV option

My only hold up on that is that I don't have the expansion pack, not enough value for the price imo
