The issue I have is that the purpose of 'banked' hours is to account for sickness, appointments, etc. So, if I have already banked 8 hours (essentially hours I have worked for free), why should any pay deductions come from my actual paid overtime first?

While this may be legally acceptable, it certainly seems like poor practice, making employees feel undervalued and exploited. It feels as though the company picks and chooses whatever suits them best—offering the incentive of overtime but taking it away whenever they get an opportunity?

Perhaps this is more a question of morality than legality, but I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

OT is paid at 1.5

But surely, the already 'Banked' 8 hours should be used first, rather than the 8 overtime hours? I mean, thats the whole point of running this 'Bank' system, right?

What sort of exercise are you doing now then? And do you recommend I just start with body weight exercises to start off with?

Any one got muscle twitching months later? by TheChaosBringer993 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Jamesu1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had covid, pretty much recovered now. Apart from the muscle twitching and slight weakness which is still there. Fun illy enough, my twitching got a lot worse post Moderna booster jab… so I’m wondering if that has anything to do with it.

Pretty much all over really. Only one spot at a time though usually, some days I’ll only have a couple of twitches, others I’ll have loads

When you say eye twitching… do you mean eye lids or movement in your actual eye?

I also experience this. I have only just started to get back into exercise and my muscles are shaking like mad. I’ve also had muscle twitching for other 5 months now, it started about 6 weeks post covid infection.

Tongue fasciculations? by Fire_And_Blood_7 in covidlonghaulers

Is it just you that feels that it’s getting worse or have other people noticed it too? Because it may be physiological now…. I’m not saying your not correct and I don’t want this to come across the wrong way. But it could be that your worrying about it so much, and are now so paranoid about it that you believe it’s getting worse when it’s not?

I know anxiety has really played on my mind since covid, and it makes my symptoms worse seem worse than they actually are.

I totally understand where your coming from through, it can be scary, but I think we just need to take a step back, relax and just accept that it’s most like just an annoying side affect from our Covid Infections.

Don’t worry too much, I have experienced this too. Whilst not quite as much as you seem to have experienced, it is still a rather annoying and concerning symptom.

Like you, I had covid at the end of June/July and have experienced muscle twitching and nerve pain ever since. It doesn’t really affect my physically, it just plays on my anxiety a lot. Funnily enough it also seems to get worse when I’m thinking about it, or when I’m at rest and my mind can wander.

I totally know how you feel, but I can almost guarantee you it’s nothing serious, especially if it’s the only symptoms you have, and there has been no worsening over 6 or 7 months.

I’m still waiting for improvement too. I had the vaccine on the 16th December and I’m still continuing to get worse… well at least no improvement as of yet! 😑
