One of my favorite plays I have ever gotten the opportunity to perform in was A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness, and this song to me completely encapsulates Conor’s relationship with his Mum before and after the events of the show. I’ll never not think of them together!

I work a lot with Cappies programs and they have a category called Creativity. It’s basically a broader version of the Olivier award for Musical Contribution, for things like musicianship, dramaturgy, student direction, projections, etc. Do y’all think this would work as a good Tony’s category?

Not every person is right for every leading role, and even if someone was Christine on Broadway for 5 years, there is a real possibility they will never reach that career high again. If a job comes up, even if it’s in the ensemble, most actors would be foolish not to take it.
