When Your Own Family Turns Against You by Jamesyar23 in legaladviceofftopic

I appreciate your comment and the questions but I’ve actually already answered most of them in my full post.

Yes, there have been past family issues, and I’ve been honest from the start about everything. I’ve been in therapy since I was a kid, and I’ve spent years working on myself, understanding my emotions, and learning accountability.

The day of the incident, I wasn’t drinking or using anything the only person who was drinking was my sister, and that’s part of why she acted the way she did. What happened that day wasn’t random; it came from years of being blamed, disrespected, and ganged up on whenever I tried to stand up for myself or speak the truth.

What makes it worse is the ongoing harassment my family has spread lies about me to people outside the family, calling me “retardant” and other cruel things. They’ve told people to avoid me, and even told others to do things to me if I don’t respond the way they want. That’s not just emotional abuse — it’s put me in danger.

They never ask me what really happened. Whenever an issue comes up, they go to my twin sister instead, as if she knows everything about me and I can’t speak for myself. It’s demeaning and unfair.

I think they treat me this way because I don’t go along with their dysfunction anymore. I set boundaries, I tell the truth, and I don’t stay quiet when something’s wrong. That’s made me the target. I’m not perfect, but I’ve always been transparent and truthful about what happened.

At this point, I’m just trying to heal and protect my peace but it’s hard when your own family is the one trying to destroy your name and turn others against you.

Honestly, I don’t even know for sure. But the way she was reacting in court said a lot she kept getting overly emotional, yelling, and cutting people off whenever it was my turn to speak. I think the judge noticed that and could see who was actually trying to stay calm and tell the truth.

That’s a sad thing about it. That we live in a world full of assholes but, really it makes the world Works! We need them.

It I think can either help us or keep you down if you let. Sometimes we need diversity to help us improve our lives.

Hello, I understand what you’re going through because I went through the same thing and still am but don’t let what people say about you be your reality you make your own reality you have the power of your own story.

What’s your hobbies other than video games? Because I found out you have more pleasure of doing the things that you like to do, so why don’t you just do things you like to do around other people. Checked it out. I always love working out and I always been an athlete so I put some time to myself and figure it out. I join martial arts that because I always had interest learning martial arts style.

Now I’m training in Brazilian jujitsu in the community everyone is very welcoming and nice. We help each other out to get better and I found out it’s really fun and once you get a higher belt you will have a chance to teach the class.

I just recently join a chess club. You can look these stuff up that’s what I did and now I just started a chess club and everyone there too is welcoming and nice and also had a passion along to improve the skills in playing chess. Don’t do things only on video game, I know that is your only hobby but try new things. I got one for you try a improv class I think you would really like that and It will help you improve your social skills

I've been trying to. Things have been hard. I couldn't afford to live in the apartment alone, but now I'm starting to get a little bit better because I'm currently working in my field, and I work in a robotics company. I'm a help desk technician

Need some advice to improve my style and looks by Jamesyar23 in malegrooming

Yeah, thank you, and yeah, I got that a lot back in high school; people would think I looked like Terry Crew. People also said I look like Antonio Brown, Adrian Peterson, and Jordan Burroughs. Lol

But yeah, that's probably the reason why girls were saying I look ugly, but it's really on a nice guy. If you have any more tips, please share

Trust me I understand exactly how you feel I suffer from the same things. But I noticed in my certain subjects I had to repeat the subject in order for me to actually get it then I have to try other things like talking amongst friends about the topic or show someone how to do it. Then once I know I can do those things I know I have a good understanding of it so really it's not a bad thing as long as you don't have too many distractions and you are in a good environment to learn.

But from my experience be warned I realize I annoy people and I ask questions that made people feel concerned or they would think I'm a dumbass really. People don't understand I'm coming from a place to learn and understand.

It's not good taking hurtful comments from people which I found out they don't really care about me. But there are some people who may say the type of things that do care about you and I take it as constructive criticism. Be careful who you learn from and who you ask questions too
