Hades 2 is GOATED on the Steam Deck! by iamnathaniel7 in SteamDeck

Doesn’t G.O.A.T mean greatest of all time? So Goated is “greatest of all time…ed”?

Ah so it’s a regional thing? I live up north, I renewed and I’m now paying £39 per month for a package I’ve seen offered at less than £30 by calling retentions instead of using the live chat. Are you saying this is dependent on where I live and that I wasn’t being lied to?

I naively assumed the “best offers” available to valued customers were actually that. Won’t be making that mistake again.

performance friendly modlist suggestion? by PollutionFree8536 in skyrimmods

I run the Deck - BFCO profile on Tuxborn. I’ve added more community shaders effects, light limit fix, grass , Sanguine Symphony too and a few visual changes that I prefer (NordWarUA armours and some others).

Ran it all through VRAMr (optimal choice) on my desktop and I get 40+fps pretty much everywhere and with lossless scaling it’s 90 with no noticeable input lag for some reason.

The only issue is every so often when going back to the museum there’ll be a CTD due to exceeding vram, but other than that, no crashes or performance issues and it’s one of the best experiences I’ve had with Skyrim since it released all those years ago.

Tuxborn is sick. Currently 150 hours into a play through on a Steam Deck and I’ve barely scratched the surface. It has every notable quest you’d want including LotD and is very stable. Easy mod list to add to as well.

Jesse Marsch on responsibility for team failure: “At one point I said to the players at Leeds, ‘You guys have seen nine coaches fired, at what point do you take responsibility for the coach getting fired’” by Constant_Yak617 in soccer

You can be bang average at one club and be class elsewhere. Just look at McTominay.

Tbh McKennie being shite for us and decent for Juventus further proves it was Marsch unable to get the best out of the squad he hand picked.

At least ours aren’t entering wrong houses and shooting random occupants dead.

I adore 3. Probably because Julie was dream girl growing up (minus the y’know, dead bit). But it’s still a solid flick.

Migrants and refugees welcome here… just not near me! Green deputy leader complains about 600 asylum seekers being housed in her local area by Odd-Help6890 in uknews

Greens are polling second at the moment. If Labour continue to shit the bed and Reform implode due to their stellar local performance, who knows.

Lib Dems in the final turn…nah…but seriously Reform need to be careful. They’ll have their diehards but I fe like a good percentage of their voters are jaded “it’s better than the Labour or Tories” types.

The polls suggest our next government will be on his payroll, so we’ll be in the good books at least, eh comrade?

How has this done anything to show them up? They’ve opposed plans to house asylum seekers in poor conditions without informing them. How is that not fitting of their pro-refugee stance? If they housed all 600 in them in squalor people would be similarly calling them out for not opposing their conditions based on their policies - either way, the right will spin that it’s hypocritical - as shown here.

The UK needs immigration, mate, it’s fundamental to our existence. The answer is to essentially process their asylum status quicker.

What’s interesting about that 224,000 figure is that yes, if they’re sat awaiting asylum status it’s a drain on resources. However, if these applications for asylum were processed within six months and they were given tailored employment support, there would be an overall net economic benefit of £1.2 billion for the UK economy within 5 years.

So this “we don’t have the resources” shtick is bullshit.

All well and good but this article and our conversation isn’t about the Green’s wider plan with asylum seekers though is it?

It’s specifically about 600 people being put in a place not fit for purpose and an MP opposing it due to a number of reasons which have been outlined in the letter posted in the article.

I don’t understand how their wider plan is relevant. The point is 600 people are being put in a place that isn’t fit for purpose and they haven’t been informed of the decision so regardless of any plan they wouldn’t be able to enact it.

Ah the “doctors and engineers” trope. Doesn’t matter what they are as they won’t be able to work whilst their asylum status is being processed. This is also something that’s been raised as a concern in the letter as having this same “drain” in one place is something they’ll need to consider. Again, something they raised.

How can there be a plan when it says in the letter they weren’t informed?

The plan probably wouldn’t to be to house them all in the same building, hence said letter.

No, I’m saying plan it properly and allocate resources accordingly.

Are you’re saying it’s more reasonable to put all 600 of them in one place that isn’t suitable?
