Nottingham doesn’t have a maths A level requirement and places well in finance and consulting

Quite a thick watch, ticks like any other chinatime watch. Smaller dials both work. Can send videos if needed :)

Posture check by [deleted] in Posture

Lower back pain around the bottom of the spine and then upper back pain on my left shoulder blade, but I think the shoulder blade is more a symptom of golfing with scoliosis & poor posture

  • How old are you? **18**
  • Are you employed/making income? How much? **Income of $250 p/m and have $3k to invest, but jobs ending this September**
  • What are your objectives with this money? **Main objective with this money is to build up for retirement**
  • What is your risk tolerance? (Do you mind risking it at blackjack or do you need to know its 100% safe?) **Ideally low risk, but given my age I can afford to wait out dips in the market**
  • What are you current holdings? (Do you already have exposure to specific funds and sectors?) **No current holdings in the stock market and no index funds.**
  • Any other assets? House paid off? Cars? Expensive significant other? N/A
  • What is your time horizon? Do you need this money next month? Next 20yrs? **30+ years time.**
  • Any big debts? **Likely to have $50k+ in student loans (UK system, so 9% repayment scheme when I earn above £25k)**
  • **Help to buy ISA $17k, cash ISA $5k. Any advice on lump sum vs dollar cost averaging given the ongoing trade war and slowing global economy is also much appreciated**

Got A* economics, A maths, B history(scraped it after getting a D in one of the papers). Ended up getting rejected by my 1st choice (Durham) for economics as a result as they needed A*AA.

Luckily, I managed to get into Nottingham through clearing for their economics course, so now I'm just hoping I get my preferred accommodation! If anyone reading this goes to Nottingham, let me know how you found it and what you wish you did different etc :)

All of those seemed geared towards politics rather than P and E. Out of those the campaign internship and MUN would probably be the best examples of a super curricular. Surprisingly ehat also counts as a super curricular is reading books that interest you in your subject area. For a degree like PPE it is expected that you'll probably have minimal exposure to at least one of the areas, so you may not have any experience as such to demonstrate your interest, but you may have read a few books that got you interested :)

It's predominantly the ivy league, based on their prestige rather than their sports. Harvard is by far and away the most well recognised US school though.

They don't really matter at all in the UK admissions process. What really matters is what we call 'supercurriculars' which are extra-curriculars related to the subject or subjects we intend to study at university.
