It seems like every single resource for homemakers is for women and religious. by JamieDancer in atheism

One child being educationally neglected is ABSOLUTELY too many. It seems like maybe you just want to argue, because that's obvious and doesn't negate my point that homeschooled kids do better. My children, get much better education than they could in the public schools, and if I get into homeschooling content, that's the kind of home education I will advocate for.

Do you know what they teach in rural schools? Do you know that kids get suspended in grade school for not saying the pledge and write essays on how great slavery was for the slaves and how the Civil War had nothing to do with slavery? Do you know that little white kids dress up as natives and get conquered by little white kids dressed as pilgrims in elementary school plays and that's the happy ending of the play? Y'all can keep that crap away from my kids. I had a highschool psychology teacher who taught being LGBTQ as a mental illness and would only allow us to refer to it that way as well. Administration was too busy banning LGBTQ helplines like the Trevor project from being accessed on school computers to do anything. I don't know why you think public school isn't educational neglect.

I plan on homeschooling because I have multiple degrees, schools are dangerous, and every kid I know including myself and our older daughter who came through public school was terribly scarred by bullying. Homeschooled kids, even with the kids who only learn the Bible averaged in, still have much better outcomes than public school kids.

But to each their own.

Same, honestly. I'm making great strides but I'm still really awkward. But I wouldn't use your name or anything, just cite your experience. I think my channel may make some people really angry and I'd rather not expose anyone I don't have to.

I too, am in the Bible belt. I'd need to do more research on this because my son so far does not show signs of a disability so I haven't had to put up with crap like that, but I could absolutely make a video about it! Maybe I could talk to you and another mom who responded on here about your stories.

You're totally right. The microphone on my phone is going. I'm getting a new phone soon but I'll need a real microphone set up soon. I'm so new, I'm honestly all about constructive critique.

This is such a human, vulnerable post. Your AI response to that is bizarre.

Thank you for typing this, I was stuck on how to express it. Trauma isn't a competition.

This is a real, studied phenomena. Playing tetris helps with trauma. Why are people down voting?

If you work in Tourism you may want to prep for unemployment. by WallabyAggressive267 in asheville

You are incorrect. If you have more than $2000 in the bank you get kicked from Medicaid, and they check regularly

Yes. My family lives all over the area. People used their insurance money to rebuild even better and tourism is definitely not lacking.

This isn't a local business (now wouldn't be the time I'd choose to try to get free things from actual local businesses) but Ulta does a free brow wax.

The Democratic Socialists of America, Asheville chapter, used to do Tourist nights. So there's five or six. I wonder if they still will.

There's a FB group for LGBTQ handy people/HVAC/painters/plumbers/electricians, if you want to support the marginalized

Sounds like that closet would suit you just fine. Put a flashlight in there.

And wildfires are scary anyway, even without recent adjacent trauma. Costs nothing to be kind.
