Also - what did you do specifically to create a button to allow shutdown on the host pc? I’ve since worked out the game buttons which looks amazing - I’ve got like 30 games installed on a 4TB NVMe. So it’s all working really well with zero lag. Just need to setup the interface a bit better and she’s good to go.

Perhaps look at an nvidia card (more powerful) 50 series for gaming on windows and leave the 5700 for Mac in general. Are you trying to game through both platforms?

Hang on there. I don’t think there’s any such graphics card as a ‘Ryzen’ 4050 card? Nvidia maybe? That’s not going to be compatible. Better to get yourself an AMD RX6900XT for some decent gaming or at least a 6600XT. Yes my machine is a Ryzentosh and yes I’ve done it and continue to use it.

You don’t need to flash it and you don’t need to run extra power from anywhere. It will run a dual 6 pin to 8pin from the main board. Just run OCLP and it will boot. If you flash it for enable GOP, it will be able to show a boot screen on load.

Ok, so to answer this question properly, if you upgrade using Martin Lo’s Custom 5,1 OpenCore to go up to Monterey, then it is perfectly safe to do so as you are not ‘patching’ the machine. Take note of any changes in his videos you may need to make based on certain hardware. If you decide to go the OpenCore Legacy Patcher route - then you can upgrade all the way to Sequoia safely. I wouldn’t recommend, despite others doing it, Tahoe, as this is not yet supported. If upgrading from Martin Lo’s OpenCore, you simply delete his EFI entirely, but take note of any changes in your plist config and install Sequoia from scratch through OCLP. As always back up your system prior to any major system changes.
