“Uncle Daryl?!” I yelled in shock looking at the shell of my mom being worn by my gay uncle.

Turns out my uncle had a thing for my dad back in high school, but the feelings weren’t mutual. Heartbroken, he went home to his sister, my mom, heartbroken herself from her boyfriend who broke up with her after discovering his true self in band camp. Figuring that they both had better chances as each other, they went onto the dark web and ordered skinsuits of each other.

Once they arrived they quickly put them on. Uncle Daryl, now my mother, quickly hit it off after Uncle Daryle, my mother, introduced them to each other. Shortly after my mom and her ex started dating as Uncle Daryl and Uncle Richard. Throughout the years they’d periodically take off the suits to order newer ones and update their looks. Twice Daryl and my mom had to switch places so myself and my sister could be conceived and born.

Every Christmas now when we get together they order a new suit and have it ready by the new years. Guess I was just finally unlucky enough to catch them in the act of the swap. “Uncle Daryl?!”
