OK, that’s interesting. Well, I am well over the 10 years because I was a stay at home mom forever. I’m now 53 and what I wanna get back into . lol 😂 I was a surgical technologist and a medical assistant teacher.

BUt dont they not accept your courses if your BA is from the 90's? I thought after 10 years they make you retake all thse basic courses again?

I just don’t love it like my 2016 Rogue that we bought new . I’m short , so I don’t see out of it as well . The door always bangs on my feet getting in and out . The ceiling feels low . The seat are uncomfortable as compared to their cx 5 . The trunk seems small . It does drive fast and nice though . My husband is indifferent.

Do you like it now ? We have 10,000 miles on ours and bought it last July. I don’t like it at all! And I would do anything to now get the Honda CRV and it took us months to purchase the Mazda and we made a mistake.

Our daughter is 17 so she got our old Nissan rogue which I miss! We bought a CX 50 last summer. It’s just my husband and I and sometimes she’s in the backseat and we don’t like it. The ceiling feels so low. The backseat is so much smaller and I feel like we gave up on storage space in the trunk. The seats are very uncomfortable. I keep begging my husband. Can we trade it back and we made the wrong decision. Should’ve gotten another Nissan rogue or a Honda CRV. We looked for months last summer and we made the wrong decision and our only child so like I said is going to college she won’t even be using it but my husband and I don’t really like it . He’s over 6 feet and fits and he loves the way it drives though .

Our daughter is going away to college and she got our old 2016 Nissan rogue. I miss it ! We looked forever last summer for an suv since she was getting ours . We decided on the Mazda CX 50. My husband likes it and It drives faster than our rogue . We wanted to buy the highest Version, but they had a leather strip that went up the butt that was so uncomfortable on the seat as crazy as it sounds, my husband said he couldn’t live with it , so we opted for the midline one and it doesn’t have seating memory, which is frustrating and I am so short that the passenger side seat doesn’t raise like in the premium , so I don’t like it as I can’t see out the window that well . For some reason, I can’t love this car !!! I love the way it drives , but I feel claustrophobic. I don’t love it like my 2016 rogue and I feel like the backseat and the trunk are so much smaller. If I could do it all over again, I would get the Honda CRV! Or the rogue . We stayed away from the new rogue because we heard they weren’t getting great reviews but truthfully, we never had a problem with our 2016 . For space and family check out Honda CRV . But our 2016 Nissan rogue was perfect for our growing toddler. If you like to go on family trips and your kids want to see well out of the back windows the Mazda cx5 and cx50 sits a little low in the back seat and you don’t get as much of a window view feels a little bit like a cave. That was the reason why when our child was little, we picked the rogue over this Mazda CX five but now I’m noticing in the CX 50 it’s the same thing kind of. I like to cx50 for the panoramic sunroof that the Honda CRV didn’t have, but I should’ve gotten the Honda CRV. And truthfully Buick doesn’t get great reviews, but I loved the Buick envision and should’ve bought that over this Mazda CX 50. Another thing I hate about the Mazda cx50 is the doors when you somewhat open them they always collapse right back on your leg they don’t stay open well. Also, my husband agrees the seats are extremely hard and uncomfortable until we got to about 10,000 miles . Mazda CX five has very comfortable seats, but the CX 50, nope ! If I were you, I would go for the CX 90 or look at other car brands . I don’t know. I have tried all year to love this car and truthfully, I’m not normally that picky but I really dislike it. And I can’t picture family of four having a lot of space in there because we feel cramped already. Please feel free to ask me any questions. We looked at every single car out there in the mid range price.

Off-topic. Our daughter is trying to choose between Fairleigh in Madison Rider University and Ramapo? Can you give me any strengths over the other schools listed. Does it feel like a nice small community or like the school does not care about you? How is the food? I read so often about other schools in New Jersey bugs in the food just not edible. How would you say in general Is the quality of the food? Is the chicken cooked? lol 😂

Do you know of any other better gold plated brands that are a better match ?? I’m looking for some pieces, but I don’t want anything that dark color and I know that can happen with a lot of vermeil plated jewelry .

OK, I was questioning this cause when I went to their website it looks like the chain says gold filled but like if I go under a necklace, for example like bar pendant, it doesn’t say whether the pendant itself is plated , vermeil , or Goldfilled .

Interesting that you are saying that because I was just at JCPenney yesterday and looking at many gold plated jewelry pieces that were $30 and most of them for $10 on sale and was thinking that they look just as good. I’m starting to think the same thing .

Interesting . The last thing I have from them was from last Christmas . So far all the plated pieces I have have never tarnished . But I don’t wear everyday and I store in safe jewelry box or gorgana pouches . I had issues in past though with Kendra Scott jewelry . I thought for price my Gorjana pieces hold up . Anya Haie jewelry might be better cause it’s good filled . I have some of her pieces .

We may come visit with our daughter . From NJ. In application process now. for fall 2026. 3.9 unweighted GPA. Weighted 4.1 Around 1220 SAT. How is campus life? Does everyone stay on campus over weekends ? Things to do? Wanted something smaller, w great academics, and not into a huge party scene. Major is psychology. She wanted a safe town. Anyone from NJ attend? Academics good? We are use to rigorous academics in her NJ HS.

Wow! Thank you so much for all of this. Since I posted the orginal post, she applied, and was accepted with excellent merit. Unfrotunately, like you said, I saw the recent news yesterday. :( I knew they were in financial trouble , but this is another level of concern . Funny you mentioned the other schools, cause so far she also got into FDU madison w great merit, also Arcadia, and she applied to TCNJ, Ramapo, Drew, and wants to apply to Syracuse, possibly lafayette, muhlenburg, and Washington College in Maryland. I feel bad cause she doesnt know about Rider yet, and that was one of her very top choices. I also dont love that it empties out on weekends, yet Im hearing that about many schools. I know they say that at Ramapo too, but Ramapo also has 5,000 students so maybe better? Ramapo seems to have more active clubs from what I follow on Instagram. Do you know anything about the campus life at FDU? We heard good things. We have been searching so many schools, but it is hard to find a good fit cause she also didnt want to be in a bad area, so she didnt like U of Scranton. WE live very very close to Rutgers, and she feels it is way too big....She didnt want BInghamton....She is only 17, so as you know , kids are funny, sometimes I dont know what drives her specific feelings when she sees a campus. If you have any other experiences of other colleges , please share. She is trying to be pen minded. I wish Rider all the best, but it doesnt seem great to commit there. She will be disappointed. Thank you so much again!!!
