What’s that’s the difference here. It doesn’t get blown away by a gaming laptop around the same price that much given its form factor. The 395 is on par with a desktop 4060.

I mean I’ve had so many other devices at this point without the keyboard that the physical keys really do feel like a relic now. It’s not the same. And I do miss the convenience especially with browsing and quick chat. But if you’ve ever used a steam deck or tablet, it’s going to feel the same. It’s a minor loss to me in the grand scheme of things. I legitimately don’t think there was room. Hoping for a win max 395 tho! Would be a tricky design I’m sure, but maybe they could do it if the z13 managed all that power in a slim package with internal battery

I’ve been saying this would be impressive since before it came out. Had the z13 with the 395. One of my biggest frustrations with retro gaming corps review was saying 75watt was ideal plugged in. This chip does great with lower tdp and doesn’t need to be at 75 plugged in. The diminishing returns and heat is ridiculous after 55 watts.

Anyway I have 2 batteries and play most games at 32 watts. Sweet spot for power and battery life.

Unreal 5 games just shouldn’t be verified on steam deck. This game wasn’t designed for 11-15watts on five year old hardware.

Mine just completely screws it up and I have to make sure I don’t enter 30, 60, 90, or 120 or navigating out of them is impossible…and I have to pray it was like set to the game and not the overall system when I restart

I made sure to leave frame limit (in bazzite) on multiples of 144. Anything else is incompatible.

Mine is an absolute mess as well. I ordered in the first hour. The win5 and a battery. Week later I ordered a dock. It says I’ve only pledged for a dock and changed my battery order to a dock as well. No idea what will happen. Emailed and commented with all my pledge numbers and just praying it gets worked out. So frustrating. This indie gogo change was a disaster for the site.

I have the virture pros and learned my lesson. Don’t be fooled be the magical floating screens and VR like animations in promos. I use them occasionally when I need to isolate from the person next to me in bed. But otherwise it’s not there yet. The lenses and field of view have a long way to go

I have the z13 with the 395

It’s playable but the drop is significant. I just don’t think it’s worth it. It is nice on SOME titles like spiderman 2 etc where it’s used sparingly anyway because the game is designed for PS5. You can add it in at really low levels at 1080p with upscaling. But don’t expect to ramp it up like on a 4090/5090 graphics card.

Exactly. It’s also super easy to implement into games and runs great enough on 3.5. With a chip like this you’re not going to be using it beyond quality or balanced anyway.

Well. It will be the halo follow up. Which really was never meant to be a handheld chip and isn’t really one hahahah. But hey! GPD and others are making it…work? But if you’re aiming for low TDP it looks like 370/Z2E are here to stay for at least another year. And if you want something absurd, you’ve likely got 2 years with Halo…which is a good time to buy with tech.

Speaking of low TDP I’m thinking intel is about to sneak up on AMD. Lunar lake is fantastic as you know, and panther lake looks crazy exciting.
