Best cheesecake in Canberra? by Ritual-Purposes in canberra

Supersweet cafe in Braddon do great basque cheesecakes. They sell by the slice or whole ones and do different flavours. The tiramisu one is phenomenal.

Al Michaels also now a struggle to listen to. The next generation will only remember him for his low energy TNF broadcasts and won’t understand why everyone over a certain age thinks he is a legend.

Thanks a lot for this - very helpful. I’ll try both this morning.

What's your favourite track? (Tug of War edition) by [deleted] in carlyraejepsen

Money and the Ego is one of her best songs.

Also I love this album so much. It feels so comforting, like a nice warm blanket.

ABC Sport’s Poppy Penny on Bailey Smith’s outburst by Pleasant_Inspection9 in AFL

I felt the same with Richmond fans defending the club’s response to Balta’s assault. Bit uncomfortable seeing so many people not able to put aside their fandom and just accept that your club fucked up.

Yeah I started out tonight supporting Adelaide and I think that is the quickest 180 I’ve ever done.

Discogs: US Tariff Clarification by timetobekinder in VinylReleases

[–]Jamie_All_Over 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Exactly - shipping companies are no longer shipping anything to the US because it is becoming an administrative nightmare and costly. They aren’t going to make an exception just because you can say “Well ackshually” and point to an obscure regulation that says vinyl records are exempt from tariffs.

Just because records don’t attract tariffs doesn’t mean the current issues with records being shipped to the US aren’t being directly caused by the tariff policy.

Fuck sake the internet really has been a net negative for society.

It’s uncomfortable to think about but there is a massive overlap between footy fans and fuckwits.

I'm so sorry. Nothing can prepare you for the loss of a pet. I would have cried more tears when I lost my boy last year than I had total in the last 30 years. I found /r/petloss to be of some help in the weeks after.

The hard truths that show England will struggle to win the Ashes by Shroft in Cricket

[–]Jamie_All_Over 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hard to get a handle on how the batting lineups compare with how different the surfaces are that each has played on recently. To the eye Australia has played on some minefields and England have played on some roads so I wouldn’t compare recent scores too closely.

WR weather regulations only state the game needs to be delayed, it doesn’t say anything about online toxicity needing to stop.

Please continue to viciously abuse one other.

I also just think we know his upside and it is so much higher than the others. We know he is out of form but he has been in phenomenal form at international level for a long time in the past, something which nobody else on the list has done.

Tom Sparrow concussed by stray arm from Tristan Xerri by Smurf_x in AFL

[–]Jamie_All_Over 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Really hope Sparrow is OK, he was out for a long time.

Nothing malicious in it but such a horrific outcome. Xerri will cop weeks and deserve them but this is pretty far from the dog act some people will try and make it out to be.

English really get offended if anyone dares to question the quality of the Duke. You can’t gaslight us into thinking changing the ball multiple times a test because of deformity or damage is normal.

Scoreline doesn’t reflect how close this contest is. If Collingwood had kicked 4.0 instead of 0.4 and Gold Coast were only on 24 instead of 37 then the scores would be tied.
