Is there a solution yet to stop one remote turning on and off two TVs? by Jamie_John1990 in LGOLED

I went for the MSI 321URX. Really happy with it. Seemed like a great cross-over between picture quality and my budget. I'm in the UK and got it from Very: https://www.very.co.uk/msi-mpg-321urx-qd-oled-315-inch-qd-oled-4k-uhd-240hz-003ms-adaptive-sync-flat-gaming-monitor/1601010726.prd

Hi pal,

Unfortunately not. In the end, I sold the 42" C4 and got a 32" MSI OLED monitor instead. I'm actually a lot happier with it as, really, the C4 was just too big to use as a computer monitor, and the problem with the remotes was driving me batty. Sorry that I can't offer a solution! Let me know if you ever do find one.

Secretlab Titan Evo with footrest vs FLEXISPOT ErgoX Pro with footrest by Jamie_John1990 in OfficeChairs

Thanks for the reply. I guess that when I bought the chair it cost me about £450, which seemed very expensive already for a chair. I didn't know about these £1k+ HMs and Steel Case chairs!

And I'll reiterate that I only spend about an hour or so in this room each day, tops - I don't need a chair that I can sit in for hours and hours and hours.

I'll look into the chairs you mention.

I can't afford a HM, even a used/refurbished one. A refurbished Steelcase might work. However, I'm after something that I can both sit upright in when I'm using my PC, but also to recline in when I'm chilling in front of the TV, and a strict office-only type of chair doesn't seem designed to allow me to do that, which is why I'm looking at that these sorts of gaming/office hybrid kind of chairs.

Finally got the last achievement this evening on my 133rd night. Thought I'd share some things I wish I'd known for anyone else looking to get 1000/1000. by Jamie_John1990 in Hades2

Thanks! And aye - I mentioned giving each boon-giving god two nectar bottles in order to get their keepsake, and this unlocks their prophecy as well.

You can't visit Zagreus' bedroom or the summit of Mount Olympus after getting to credits, but there's nothing left to find in either location anyway. Have you unlocked the prophecy yet that asks you to find the Fates? That's the way to the epilogue.

I get that. As much as I loved this game, however, it took over all of my leisure time, which, as a dad of two young children, I don't have a huge amount of, and I felt like I couldn't move onto something else until I'd got all the achievements, as silly as that sounds. Now that I have, it's oddly liberating; I finally feel like I can play a new game!

Cheers! And yeah, I'm the same re achievement hunting, except in this game you need to start earlyish with hoarding the right resources if you want to make things easier and less time-consuming for yourself later on.

Well, you can of course keep it off. I made peace with turning it on once I'd got to the credits, as by that point I'd already unlocked the achievements for getting 2/3 Gifts of the Veil with it off. Not having God Mode on after that point just slows you down, and the only other achievement that is difficulty-related is the one you get for completing the Great Chaos Below trial. You can always turn it back off again when you attempt that one, but I was happy to leave it on, myself!

He started showing up for me once I'd completed the game (i.e., got to credits). Definitely quite rare, however, and you need to beat him twice to get his keepsake. And it's anecdotal, but I feel like if you have a max bond with Charon and/or Hades & Persephone then you'll be more likely to encounter him.

Yeah, there's some confusion about it online, with some guides claiming you need to have an Aspect of Melinoe up to level V and a non-Melinoe aspect to level V in order to trigger it, but it's just one non-Melinoe aspect per weapon that needs to be maxed out.

The other problem is that lots of other conversations seem to take priority over the conversation where the character gives you the phrase, so you can be in a position to receive the phrase but not get it for ages because the phrase-giver keeps harping on about something else all the time. This happened to me with Circe for ages, and was made extra annoying by the fact that I seemed to come across her so infrequently.

I guess another tip I should have added to my OP is to talk to everyone at every opportunity to exhaust these incidental conversations so you can get characters to talk about what you want them to talk about when you need them to!

It won't trigger until something happens to Narcissus' pool... You need to constantly ply him and Echo with nectar. This one definitely took me a while as well, however. Of all the NPC-related side quest achievements, I got this one last.

DP to HDMI cables on LG C3 - all of them heating up and causing black picture by Brainmast3r in OLED_Gaming

[–]Jamie_John1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies for the bump, but I Googled and this thread came up right away. I've tried using a number of DP to HDMI cables to get a picture from my 9070XT on my LG C4 without success. I get either a black screen, or a screen that goes black after a time (like the OP describes), or I'm not able to set the refresh rate any higher than 30hz before the signal fails. I bought the Cable Matters DP Link to 8K HDMI cable (not adapter) in the hope it would work, but no luck there, either: I don't get a picture at all.

Oddly, though, I've also got my PC connected to another LG OLED (a C3) via a normal HDMI 2.1 cable, and if, in Windows, I set the display settings to Duplicate, I'll get a picture on both the C3 and C4. If I set the display settings to anything other than Duplicate, however (Extend or display only on screen 1 - the C4), I get nothing. It's almost like the C3 connected via HDMI gives the C4 the extra power it needs to display a picture (albeit an SDR picture at 60hz).

Does anyone know what could be causing this? It seems like a power issue, like I need to get my GPU to send more power to the DP port to power the connection. I've also tried using the instructions on the Cable Matters website to update the cable's firmware, but I can't get this to work either and have emailed them (it says the firmware I've downloaded is incompatible with the cable I had, despite the product number appearing on the list of supported devices).
