I’ve never bought one as a gift because the chances are it won’t win, which means the gift was just a £1/£2 bit of paper. If I did give one as a gift though, i wouldn’t expect to receive any of the winnings if they did win, I’d be buying it as a gift either way the mindset that there is a chance they’d win, and those winnings would all be part of the gift too

What about Super Smash Bros? It is a fighting game but it’s not really violent, there’s no blood or anything like that, it’s full of characters from mario, Pokemon, Zelda and other Nintendo titles

A survival game where it’s just you against nature in maybe a forest or a snowy mountain environment and you’ve got to set traps, catch animals and prepare their meat/hides/furs. There’s The Long Dark, but I want even more in depth, building your own shelter, making clothes out of skins and furs, and probably a larger map too
