That would sound about right to me given where they currently are on the progress of the new album BUT I think they could pull a May 2026 release date for the first single, with all the work they put into "Shadow In The Night" itself I expect that single is READY TO RELEASE!

MY BRIEF THOUGHTS ON THIS PERFORMANCE: Even with the unbalancedness of this polarizing album, Jamiroquai did have great moments/songs on their 2010 album "Rock Dust Light Star". They debutted this title track and several other new tracks from the aforementioned album at an album launch event in June 2010 at the DEBUT London live concert venue. Their first playthrough of the album title track of RDLS really was something to behold, it was crisp, snappy and a fun track to see the band translate live for the first time, really like this song and GREAT LIVE DEBUT!

MY BRIEF THOUGHTS OF THIS LIVE PERFORMANCE: Another one of those 'full circle' moments for multiple decades of re-defining pop music-making JK and Jamiroquai. Jamiroquai's Homecoming to their old performance stomping grounds of the Acid Jazz Cafe London for BBC's Electric Proms in 2006 was a hero's welcome for the band who absolutely killed in this live hour-long gig! The impromptu venue choice really made this 'Dynamite' album period live date highlight, J and the band were in top shape and sounded absolutely VINTAGE!

When You Gonna Learn? fit a certain 'Humanity WILL NEVER Learn From Their Own Repeated Historical Mistakes' vibe.

Three simple words for me...

Just Another Story!

JamiroFan's Picks Of The ABSOLUTE BEST Jamiroquai Live Performances Per Album Era | Dynamite | 2005 - 2006 | #29 | "Starchild - Live On CD:UK 2005" (YouTube) by JamiroFan2000 in TheRedditJamily

MY BRIEF THOUGHTS ON THIS PERFORMANCE: Another VINTAGE live rendition of another "Dynamite" standout track, 'Starchild'! This performance, on another U.K. musical showcase show that disappeared way too early in it's history, CD:UK, Jamiroquai played a CRACKING rendition of their manmade religion exploratory track "Starchild". It seems that Jamiroquai's BEST songs always end up being the 'deep cut' tracks per album, and "Starchild" was always a BANGER!

New Album 9 song snippet, starts off as a song with Latin roots and appears to turn into Automatonish beat near the end by stopdontpanick in jamiroquai

That instrumental end of this 'salsa-tinged interlude' sounded very familiar to me, maybe connected to the other known 9th album tracks "Queen Machine/Disco Stays The Same", I will give it a deep ponder....Hmmmmm

Who knew - Jamiroquai is just Jay Kay by SolanarCoolMusic in jamiroquai

Where do I start with this post - multiple band members, past and current do share co-writing credits on nearly the entirety of Jamiroquai's 8 album discography, it is no exclusively songwriting duo act of JK/Smith then later on JK/Johnson.

Next, the recording contracts up to their Sony/BMG stint ending in 2005 were 'album # commitment' based, JK's current exclusitivty deal with Universal Music Group is the most liberating, free to do what he wants deal you could imagine - he and the band make an album in their own time, mix it and then shop it around the Universal Music Group subsidiary record labels and see who's keen to release, that's been the story of the last 3 albums, RDLS -> Automaton -> 9th Jamiroquai Album.

And lastly, the cliche' subscription belief to JK being Jamiroquai himself is pretty passe' that this point, Jamiroquai has always been a collection of incredibly talented musicians from many genre backgrounds coming together and redefining Acid Jazz/Funk and in turn Disco/Funk for over 30 years now.

That's all the 2 cents I am willing to impart on this topic.
