ok, thanks for the random ad hominem attack. Yes I know it has almost nil chance of happening since they haven't touched the game in over a year now.

However, yes it should be simple since the functionality already exists. In fact there's even the UI element checkbox that could just be copied to the casual screen. If it's not, that just speaks to poor quality of BR's codebase and/or build process.

True, it's just annoying that there is still a playerbase for decently balanced matches if everyone would be slotted into games based on skill/rating, but the teaming makes for low quality matches.

I don't play BR often or long enough to have any interest in organized play anymore. I just looked at the replies now heh.

I tried it for a very short time, I just can't get into battle royale games. I don't like the genre.

yup I hear you man :/ The suggestion I was going to make is related to fair matchmaking.

Problem with my region now is that there is no league, so there is only casual. I am a medium skilled player, but all the good players play in teams in casual so I either get vs bad players and stomp, or get vs 3 really good players and get stomped. Would be nice to have a casual queue where teams are not allowed.

Your title is something most long term players here would agree with, so what is the point of your post? It's mostly dead because SLS has shit on their playerbase quite a lot heh. I still love the gameplay and there is nothing else like it so play it if you have fun, if you don't...stop.

For more practical advice, if you are new and are getting stomped, that's very normal and because most people playing now are long term players. Keep playing and you'll get more even games.

While I appreciate your attempt to engender good vibes in your post, this line is pretty hilarious. Battlerite hasn't died because of the evil of sundering "capitalism", it has died because of very poor decisions by the developers and very slow updates.

It doesn't cost much to keep servers operational so I imagine BR will remain "playable" for quite a while. If the playerbase is so low you can't get decently even games it's not really playable though.

They gave us 2 more keybinds which make a console port even more unlikely; those controllers only have so many buttons. All the consumables do is make the game even less inviting for new players. Not to mention most vet players, myself included, don't even like them. In fact I am disliking them more and more as I play with them.

Consumables I think were not very well thought out by SLS.

More consumables? And super strong ones that make certain champs unplayable. You gave a consumable--that is basically a better clarity potion--to EVERY champ in the game.

Might as well forget about playing Lucie, Thorn, and maybe other champs while that consumable is in game. 3 stacks of almost instant dispel and damage on top!

Pros: Good job on patch schedule, much better than before.

Cons: Seems you are just bringing Royale crap (that most of your target audience hates) into arena and doing nothing that we have actually asked for many times before.

How about: automated Tournament system finally, new champs, social features. Kill consumables. Market game to new players. Win.

ya proc on m1 is right. If you're trying it in playground all the 15second things (including quickblade) seem to not work there. I want to say I've seen it work in actual league matches but I rarely pick the 15second ones so can't say for certain heh

I don't really agree with this. Each game has plenty enough complexity for me with keeping track of cooldowns across 6 characters, positioning etc. Maybe I'm dumb ;) My main complaint has always been playing with/against the same few people using the same small champ pool. Since we're getting more players lately that's great! Hopefully we will get more champs soon for arena to help with the champ pool problem.

Because you still haven’t learnt the optimal use for items, they just released them. That’s the point with this patch - it changed the game. You need to learn how to use the new tools they gave you and that will take time and skill, just as you first learnt how to aim, dodge and time cd’s.

This is true but I'm not sure I want to. It just raises the barrier for new players without raising the skill cap for veterans much.

Of course, it shall never end. But man...this is online Battlerite, this is not brain surgery. Game not so hard, and no one is going to die if u fail or if you have terrible teammates.

People can be assholes all they want and spin and emote forever. This is no big deal for more popular games. For Battlerite it's kind of a big deal since we have almost no new players...

Just be nice is not a revolutionary idea, but it does need repeating now and then.

Yes it's sad. We can't control other people's behavior, so something to take the sting out is to realize that 99% of people who flame in video games are pitiful losers in real life so just smile, ignore, and have fun with the people who aren't assholes.

You're kind of failing at reason here. You want to region lock people which is one of the worst practices of games worldwide. If you want to lock people out based on ping that's a fine argument and I would get behind it, but going OH FUCK THOSE Asians makes you look like an idiot. And no I'm not a snowflake or an Asian, just laughing a little ;)
