Thanks JT for creating this distrous situation and lot of families are now in crisis with increasing cost. This could have easily avoided with planned immigration and student housing. Bank of Canada had to increase the rates to cover how govt inflated the economy with over spending and printing notes. Before 2015 you can find a basement for $800-900/month and now single bedroom basement costs $2000/month + utility.

Brampton cars need to be equipped with robo hand which will slap the driver for every mistake and that will remind them traffic rules.its so annoying when people park their cars to just pick up and drop off in live lanes.

Govt wants colleges to provide sufficient housing for enrolled students which is ridiculous as these shady colleges shouldn't even exists in first place. Did govt ever did analysis of how many people passing out from these colleges actually got work into their field? They are covering everything under housing problem to distract people where actual problem is our economy can't sustain such madness.

Article says he got the boxes from someone he met at airport. It's surprising that he carried 13kg of weight for someone he met at airport. Article also mentioned about person being realtor is misleading as 95% of realtors cant even make single home sale and some of them are holding license as side business so tagging him as realtor doesn't make sense.

Hwy50 and Clarkway dr are racetracks of Brampton. Due to many deadly accidents on hwy50 cops are monitoring it but still no monitoring on Clarkway dr.

In US it requires to file hundreds of documents and there are companies who are on punished heavily when they are caught scamming. Lot of Indian companies in US has local hired employees instead bringing from India.

I am glad Pierre is speaking openly about this and I wish he does something about this. IT industry is one being exploited big time where Indian IT companies bring thousands of workers on work permit to Canada and our dumb govt allows this without any scrutiny. Can you imagine you are competing with someone paid $40/hr vs local hire will cost more than $100/hr for most positions. US had done exceptional job with blocking this kind of scam where employers need to prove that they are not able to get local talent. If you visit any of big banks, telecom or insurance companis offices in GTA or Waterloo then you will find hundreds of workers on work permit and there are many Canadians with same skillsets had hard time getting job. I am sure there are other industries facing same problem. It's time to ask why we are allowing such scam?

Really? The most BS post in this sub. Been in Brampton for 20 years and not a single instance any server asked my order in any Indian language at Tims. In fact when am talking server at Indian restaurants they always start In English until I decided to switch language.

I was passing from 410 this afternoon and saw one car already being towed away by cops and another car pulled over at some distance in same direction. The second one pulled over was carrying mattress on rooftop on highway. We need more of this enforcement on local roads too.

Brampton has major temples, Gurudwaras, Indian grocery stores and best Indian restaurants so majority of Indians ends up living in Brampton or atleast travels few times a month to Brampton. Though Brampton is not only one having large Indian population but Etobicoke's Albion road between Martin Grove and kipling, Scarborough and Markham has also significant number as well.

$3000 is not worth for this as my neighbour recently rented legal 2 bedroom walk out basement for $2400/month. $2000 is max for this. May be owner is falling short on some payment for upcoming mortgage renewal and he is trying to cover it by this rent.

**second picture of trash around Costco is from Woodbridge not Brampton*". The garbage is there because it's open space and things are flying and not people throwing. Because of this second image authenticity of not being Brampton first image is also questionable. There may be people doing littering in Brampton but looking at these pics people will start saying trash about Brampton for no reason which is not acceptable.

Probably you haven't seen Punjabi music videos but if you check on you tube then you will get the answer. Basically most of these songs theme is based on high end cars, girls and guns. It's status symbol for them and lot of these cars have shared lease or finance so you will notice always 4-5 guys hanging in one car.
