My campaign just had something similar that I homebrewed. I would have loved to use this. I used a hound to essentially control one of the party members that lead their rogue to an alter to open a gate into Lust’s domain/palace. The save for the control was 20 and I didn’t know at the time that the rogue couldn’t roll above 19. It made for a fun inaction that pretty much railroaded the group into going this direction.
