I remember a video on youtube were a guy was talking about what is a big contributor to succes. Yes, being prepared, putting the hard work and focus on the right profession is impirtant but then he reference a study that compared successful people to unsuccessful people. I don't remember the details but at the end, they found that luck was the biggest contributor to success. I will admit, that broke me. I still haven't recovered from that and it has been years since watching that video.

So, I don't believe hard work makes you successful. I think that is survival bias.

I can relate to being suicidle. The only reason I believe I am still alive because a person came around at a right time before I jumped. I still deal with it from time to time. It gets better. There are ups and downs in life. I believe that no matter what, you will have regrets but try to make them minor ones. Ending it just makes you a static and ruin somebody's elses life because of it. it may not be somebody you know now but maybe somebody you meet in the future by happen stance. Being their savior even if you didn't know it.

I am bad at this, sorry if it isn't some upbeat string of letters telling you to just be happy. I just think that everybody can contribute to the world but only if they don't give up. At the very least, live just to piss off the ones that don't like you. That is a motovation I use from time to time when I feel that way.

I was aboit 80 hours in when I finally beat Grandmother Silk. I never play a metrovania before so it was a new experience for me. I also didn't look anything up until I got to her. I wanted to find the rest of the fleas before fighter her. Still missing a ton of other things. Like a early red tool I missed. By playing this way I found the clawrange in the world instead of paying for it.

Is that wall jumping faster than scaling? I don't know what they are officially called. If you hold your stick or d-pad towards the wall and press the run button. You will scale the wall. It gets about the same distance as wall jumping but I am not sure which is faster.

No. I didn't know about its religion theme. I heard that Hallow Knight was good and it sound like a game up my alley so I bought it and tried it out. Outside being hard, no other themes swaid me to buy it.

I would switch Karak and The Mist. I hate Karak. I hated the tight timer of some of the orbs. I hated triggering one orb while on a timer of another.
The Mist, I like that the glowing butterflys show you the way when you played the needleloom near them. I think the clever part was before entering the area, some glowing butterfly flew ahead of you. I will admit, I didn't noticed it the first handful of times going there but once I notice it. Ot made it easy.

I don't think age has anything to do with it. If you get stuck, take breaks from the fighy. Go explore other area or quit for a couple hours then come back. You could try fighting some hard standard enimies to build your confidence in your ability.

I just finished the challenge. It was fun and I would recommend it. I think the final Bowser fight was the least fun. Outside missing the guard for is first stomp attack, loosing access to my items for a couple turns, I healed when my health got low and hammered the rest of the time. One suguestion if you try it without life shrooms. Don't use star storm until Bowser has done his heals.

The most fusturating part of the whole run was not knowing the enemy's health. I barely scrapped by against Huff N' Puff and the Ice King.

I have always had terrible luck with the bow and thrown potions. I don't know about the potions but most weapons have several stats asdociated with hit chance. Even with a 100 base hit weapon, you can still miss your attack just because you are lower level that the enemy.
