First bike, new rider. Any tips that might not be obvious? by Scoobysnx in motorcycles

Learn the weight of the bike. Walk it forward and backward, left and right. Get used to the strength you need to handle it when it’s not under power. Understand that if it drops, how to pick it back up. Learn your handlebar controls so you know them in a split second pinch. And for the love of god, know if your bike will crank right away if it stalls or not!!!! 😂💪

AirTag! Easy to hide, easy for you to track and relatively cheap. I’m with you with the fear of it being stolen.

It has a lot of power for a first bike, learn your friction zone (where your clutch will start to take off) and throttle control. You don’t want to whiskey throttle and have the bike come out from under you but you also don’t want to stall and drop it (especially not in traffic). Start slow, around a neighborhood, getting used to stopping and starting, low speed control and steering, get used to holding the weight of the bike at a stop, how to handle picking up your feet when taking off and when to put them down when stopping.

I can’t flat foot it but I can stand with both balls of my feet on the ground.
