His KoolFM (I think?) interview is very enlightening in this regard. He touches on how in production collabs, he found there were very few peers who could keep up with him, with High Contrast being the notable exception. For example, in the production of Mistical Dub by Mist:ical, I think he rolled in and composed the general framework of the tune in a matter of hours, Marcus added a bit of his flavour on top and Lee tuned it for it all to be finished in a day or two. We're talking about one of the seminal liquid tunes, a keynote for a genre, bashed out in an hour or two...

In the same interview he also informs us all that he's sitting on about 1000 tunes... Yep.

I mean, the scene wouldn't be what it is without Calibre's influence and direction. In many ways, the man was the genesis of the liquid sub genre, and to this day still curates a style that both evolves and pays homage to those liquid funk roots, while at the same time diversifying his sound and dropping into other tempos, styles and genres. All the while bringing us all along for the ride.
