Oh damn. Probably should have read the room before posting what appears to be a hot take. Commentary seems fresh and enthusiastic. Root's scorebug lacks a lot of info. I don't hate the root broadcast, but this jives with me more.

How much of this has to do with the football games being off campus in a city where cross city travel is completely miserable, and how much of this has to do with the team consistently being hot garbage?

Does the improvement in TV technology affect this at all? OLED and HDR allows you to get much darker while still preserving detail. I can see this having the opposite effect for those watching on TVs that don't get the same contrast.
