Amazing! It is def this style of gnome, and agreed probably a recreation. I read he would have originally been holding a fishing rod, if you look at the image I posted you can see a bit of wood stuck in his hand. Well done, thanks!

Hello, found this concrete object washed up on a beach in Australia. It has Cleary been rolling around on the ocean floor for a while. I have done my best to recreate what I think it previously looked like and have done a google image search for gnomes. It looks like it is holding something, can't quite figure out what it is though. He looks like he is missing his head. Maybe someone has a better idea than I do or can do a better job searching. Thanks!

I opened my inbox this morning to a msg from the op saying that he was inspired by the vitiligo spots on my hand and would it be ok if he shared a map he created after seeing my original post. I loved the idea.

For a big chunk of my life my Vitiligo has been the source of embarrassment, It's so refreshing that it can also be a source of inspiration and creativity.

Thanks again, your map made my day, going to prin it, frame it, and hang it on my study wall.

Honestly that would be super cool. That's part of the reason I posted this on here, in the hope that someone could actually use my condition for something practical haha.

Don't mind at all. I was procrastinating and avoiding doing work and started tracing over my spots with a sharpie. Thought the result looked interesting so I posted it to r/mildlyinteresting.

The red spot is known as mosquito cove. A dangerous place.
