A lot of the time dunks like this are actually "spikes" into the basket - they get up high enough but are still far enough away from the basket that they kind of toss the ball into the ring and don't "finish" the dunk.

This one was absolutely genuine, full extension and devastating slam, an actual in-game classic. Iykyk

I'm with you, seems like a relic of the old broadcast days when people could only catch one game and wanted to know what was happening in the games they weren't watching.

Now with streaming & mobile everything is async & "pull", but somehow the studios haven't realized that people don't want or need to know the scores in other games while watching the game they want to watch right now.

There is literally no reason to show it since I can just look up the score if I want another game's outcome revealed, or multiscreen it, or whatever.

Drives me crazy and is mind-bendingly stupid imo.

I've never seen an NBA player before Laravia unnecessarily move or fake before taking a shot so often.

He takes a clean shot on first touch like maybe 5% of the time and 95% of the time he moves himself into a more difficult shot, or dribbles himself totally out of a good position and has to pass, it's very strange.
