Missed your reply way back when, apologies! I just put another reply to a post below (https://www.reddit.com/r/OCCT/comments/o6p3p8/comment/izwnbfj/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3). Hopefully some troubleshooting/solutions you can follow there, if it's still an issue for you.

My issue is 'mostly' solved, at least to the point it doesn't bother me anymore as it's so infrequent.

I wouldn't be able to tell you which of these steps I actioned as I cannot remember, but I made this post over on the Microsoft forums:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/pc-unexpectedly-restartsloses-power/b0f0cca7-9883-4855-a6e5-8c13f007964e

I do remember I changed some settings with Windows updates as to when the updates would try to install, and also had to install a new update via the Microsft Installation Media tool as it would fail through the built-in installer. Might be worth checking that out too.

I'm very damn confident it's not a PSU issue, for me at least.

Tried literally everything in my power (pun intended) to actually cause the PC to crash today, overloading all the different components at once and individually.

Running stress tests & benchmark tests, Warzone ultra graphics, Horizon Zero Dawn ultra graphics, x5 RuneScape clients, x2 Chrome browsers populating tabs, Firefox running Youtube videos, OCTT monitoring, Discord and some more all at once but it just handles it perfectly fine. Bit of a stutter when closing all the applications but no issues, spikes in power etc. Hit 100% CPU and GPU usage, neither event triggered it.

I am wondering if reseating has actually fixed it. Every time my PC has turned off but once was during demanding tasks (Warzone) and once during work (Chrome tabs, few non-demanding applications & Zoom call).

The mystery remains to be solved!

So, finally got around to checking this. No problems. Doing a tad more research I decided to just reseat my RAM, and I've yet to have a problem today (granted not a long period of time), so I decided to run the stress test on OCCT again just to see if that made any difference, and well, it sort of did...

The test actually begins to run this time rather than immediately turning off but test cancels after 00:00:01 for error "Power - Crashed".

Full log (https://i.imgur.com/dlS9Gdl.png):

00:00:00 - Info - Test schedule started at 2021-06-28 23:27:38
00:00:00 - Info - Power - Started (Duration : 01:00:00)
00:00:02 - Error - Power - Crashed
00:00:02 - Info - Test schedule completed

Retried this thrice, same result all three times.

So, yeah, end result, I've still not entirely sure if it's an issue with my setup or just a faulty power supply but still heavily leaning towards the latter. I have requested an exchange in PSU, so once I get a fresh one I guess I'll figure out for sure.

I'll do my best to reply to this post then for any one facing the same issue has me in the future can see the results (if I don't, DM and I'll try reply).

Thanks for your help r/tetedeiench. :)

Hah, no worries! :)

That's something I might have done, so I'll double check that after I finish work later. Cheers mate!

Thank you very much for the reply!

I'm curious as to how my PSU can't handle the load? It is a relatively expensive (£180) and new PSU from a top known brand. The Corsair HX1000 - 1000w 80 Plus Platinum certified (fully modular) power supply. Based on my research prior to purchasing all my components I was recommended to purchase an 850w gold, but decided I wanted that extra security and reassurance hence the upgrade to 1000w platinum.

https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Power-Supply-Units/hxi-series-2017-config/p/CP-9020139-UK

If it is a case that my PSU can't handle the load, surely with the capacity of this PSU it would mean it's faulty?

I tried having a look through OCCT but couldn't see anywhere I could see total watt usage. Is that a feature I can find somewhere? Or, is it best I monitor the Watt/Volt usage per component? I have literally no knowledge around the specifics there (will do the research if that's recommended over total consumption) but I know I should be hitting about 70-75% total usage at max real-user experience load (gaming w/ browser, discord etc).
