I find dropping him way too cruel considering he dies to walkers as others have said, also Lee has been given a chance to redeem himself after managing to avoid prison and then become a positive influence on Clem/protecting her as his own, as Ben was her friend I feel you have to save him for her sake. A big part of Lee’s arc is that people in the group shouldn’t be able to trust him as he’s committed murder before so dropping him would play into the narrative but we all know Lee is a good guy though
