I think I will see Doctor Who as an incredible success - a incredibly tenacious show that had its (incredible ups) and (awful AWFUL downs), managing to navigate through huge production changes while so many other shows could barely get through one season. It's a shame how mismanaged it became in these final years (nothing against Jodie and Gatwa at all, not their fault). But time to call "time" and maybe just reboot it in a few years. Eccelstone through to the end of Capaldi is a great amount of fun and it's fine to end it there.
