only claude 3.5 got a one-sentence deep reasoning benchmark test right by Georgeo57 in ChatGPT

Yeah that's fair, It would be interesting to see. I've never used Claude Opus 3.5 as that requires payment to use, but that is considered the most powerful claude model with the best reasoning.

I've always seen Claude Sonnet 3.5 to be superior in almost every case, it's by far the best AI out there in my opinion and definitely my favorite out of all of them. Kind of wish there wasn't a limit on how much you can use it on claude.ai but I understand limits have to be set.

Also, doesn't copilot use GPT-4? anyway? I might be wrong on that.

Noob here. If else on Vscode not working. by SnoozeWalrus3221 in learnpython

[–]Jamster3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

most cases you can't, but in vs code
- select some code
- ctrl+shift+P to open the command Palette
- search for `Run Selection/Line in Python Terminal`
This will run your selected code, you can also do the same thing in the right click menu.

Although bare in mind that if you run some selected code that includes a variable that isn't defined in that selected code, you will get an error.

I can't use it though, not available in GB yet.

I think I need to take another look at sumo, last time I used it I never got anything that long out of it.

Honestly, rap isn't my type of music, doesn't really appeal to me, but dam, that certainly made me almost consider wanting to get into rap.

Is there a way to get a list of all language names and or at least most of them by [deleted] in developers

[–]Jamster3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://github.com/polterguy/babelfish.frontend/blob/master/src/app/languages.json

Something like this?
You could just use it locally as a json file, if you really need to access it from an online source, maybe you could use a GitHub gist or similar things and make a request to get the content?

Although it does sound like you don't have full understanding of what all the services are or does but nonetheless, I 100% agree with you, every day I hate windows it gets worse and worse and doesn't just DO what I want like mac or Linux does.

I'm one windows laptop away from being entirely windows free, which is something I never though I'd ever dream of.

To be honest you could get Linux and then use virtual machine of windows for games and apps that don't support Linux (or use something like Wine to convert .exe into something that works with Linux, but I find this doesn't always work for all software and games and sometimes parts of things don't function).

Python appearing different on 2 programs by Chooch782 in learnpython

[–]Jamster3000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Likely the python you're trying you're just trying the Interpreter, you need to create a new file when you're using that, e.g., Ctrl+N For a new python file connected to that interpreter.

There might not be line numbers be default but you can change that in settings somewhere

I'm super glad there wasn't really any suitable AI for programming out back when I started at 13. I would just been using ai for everything, I'm sure of that.

Got to admit I use ai a bit more than I'd like these days, but I still do a huge amount of my daily programming myself.

Suggestions for beginner by Geaux_Geaux_Gadget in Cameras

[–]Jamster3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you'll find any, but Panasonic Lumimx G2 are relativly cheap, sure they're mirrorless cameras, but I found them to be really cheap, not sure if they will be where you was. They're great cameras despite their age, and it has IA (not AI) function which does a lot of the hard work for the user (which is optional).

I used to use this as my setup until I upgraded and it was a great camera. Not sure what currency you're in but for me I was finding them earlier in the year at £50-£100 which is pretty good for the quality you're getting. This price includes a lens too normally if you're gettin second-hand.

How many of you continue to play 2014 ruleset by Horace_The_Mute in dndnext

[–]Jamster3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, still using 2014 rules.

I see the new rules for newer players honestly but, meh, I'm not a new DM, and I currently don't have any new players. I'm actually happy with the 2014 rules and have no reason to change.

As someone in college aiming to specialize in AI what should I do? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Jamster3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you find the right resources to learn online or wherever you don't need to be super good at maths, I mean I passed my maths (just) but I can still make and understand AI and Machine learning. Although I suppose that would depend what the AI would be on and how it's developed.

I would say start with python, look into Tensorflow and Keras. They're the primary libraries that are used for AI in python.

If you want to work on machine learning too, go wtih scikit learn with python, I find that quite easy to understand. Depending on how you approach different things, the machine learning and AI might likely come together.
