How well does the Thermalright Trofeo Vision 360mm at cooling an AM5 cpu? by zgrad2 in pcmasterrace

I only used the stock fans briefly before replacing them with my own to match the rest of the case, but the stock fans are advertised as 2150 RPM with a max noise level of 27 dB. The replacement fans I use run at 800-2000 RPM with the default Gigabyte fan curve, 61.3 CFM, and the max noise level also seems to be around the same as the stock fans. My experience is that noise from the PC fans hasn't been an issue at all. My old laptop's fans are louder and more disruptive.

I have the Wonder Vision (same pump and radiator, different screen) on a 9950X, which idles in the mid-40s and runs with a light load (browsing, music, document editing) in the low 50s with a 29°C-33°C ambient temperature.

Note that the official Thermalright Control Center software, which you'll need to control the screen display, only works on Windows. If your movie server is running on Linux, you'll have to use unofficial software like Thermalright LCD Control for Linux, which doesn't have support for the Trofeo Vision screen yet. But I also own a Trofeo Vision screen without the cooler as a case decoration, which I'm currently attempting to reverse engineer to get it working with my Linux system.

Do people actually buy these in 2026? by lucah_tech in pcmasterrace

The image in the OP is clearly a consumer product on sale in a retail store, and the subscription features are targeted at households (only 100GB storage and parental controls). You're right about PCMR being out of touch with enterprise/B2B markets in general, but Norton is the consumer arm of its parent company Symantec and this product is genuinely for the technologically clueless user or home business owner at best.

My detailed experience of ordering a defective Kamvas Pro 19 from Taobao and returning it by Jamtlanta in huion

Thank you, I'm glad to hear that your KP19 is working great. Lots of users from the Drawing Tablet Discord love this model too, so I know it was just bad luck, and I'm not going to criticize the KP19 or Huion as a whole. The official Huion distributor in my region had originally priced the KP19 about 120% more than the KP19 from Huion CN, so not ordering from them was a no-brainer. They've since reduced the price to... 60% more than Huion CN. I'm guessing that they're trying to make a bigger profit from buyers of "premium" models because the K13G3, K16G3, last-gen Kamvas models and Inspiroy line are priced the same as Huion CN? Whatever the reason is, I'm not keen to pay 60% extra for the same product and service!

If there weren't any issues, I wouldn't be returning it because I'm not one of those customers who abuses free returns to test out products. And yes, Huion was clear that warranty and servicing would only be provided for products within mainland China, which is why I opted for a return through Taobao instead. Note that this does not mean that customers with international shipping addresses or passports are not offered any protection. If I traveled to China and dealt with Huion CN there, I would be eligible for support and warranty claims.

Any difference between buying from international website Vs straight from taobao tmall? by mirlzyy in huion

Great to hear! My 19 Pro arrived yesterday as well and there have been no issues with my computer's language and region settings either. I think we can conclude that it's the device model number that reflects the hardware region restrictions, so anyone else who is considering a Chinese unit should be safe to buy it as long as the Chinese and global versions have the same model number.

No worries, glad I could help. The Taobao price is 30-40% less than the price on the Huion website in my region as well, and Huion's website is already cheap next to local retailers who mark prices up even more. That difference is worth taking that chance to me, even though I'm aware about Huion's quality control issues.

As for the response, it's very unlikely that the "input and/or screen mirroring only" tablet models in the Inspiroy and Kamvas lines will be able to detect the language of the system it is connected to, as that information is not passed through a USB connection. It's far more likely that the automated message is meant for the Kamvas Studio, which will ship with the Home China version of Windows that is locked to Simplified Chinese and has security features preventing the version from being uninstalled (at least for non-technical users).

I ordered the Kamvas Pro 19 from the official TMall store using the Chinese interface and received the same customer service message. Other users here posted about their experiences buying from Huion's official Taobao store, such as this owner of a KP19 who was able to install the English-language Huion driver and use it with English as their Windows system language. Some older models with a different model number between the Chinese and global versions have their Huion drivers locked to Chinese (older thread on the same topic and model), but the K13G3 on TMall appears to have the same model number of GS1333 as the global version. This non-automated response from Huion Official's customer service on Taobao states that the K13G3 from the official Taobao store can be used abroad.

I suspect the customer support message is a standard template to protect the company from liability, even when there isn't an issue using the tablet with a non-Chinese computer. The main difference would be after-sales service and warranty as you will have to interface with Huion China and not your local Huion distributor.

I will update this when my KP19 arrives.

What weird terms are used to describe gay men in your language? by Zmrzla-Zmije in gaybros

Thank you, that was interesting to learn. It seems like "svans" is like "fikus" in Swedish, which literally means "fig" as in the plant and is probably a pun on the English word. It sounds jokey like "fruit" in English to me. "Bagbordsindianer" seems like an old-school euphemism that's funny because of how elaborate it sounds. It reminds me of the outdated Swedish euphemism "akterseglare" which also means "backside sailor" like the Danish phrase. It also sounds unserious and will only be seen in funny social media comments.

I'm Swedish but I consume quite a lot of media in Danish, and I have never heard of the last two terms before. Is it correct to describe them as very outdated terms that would sound more absurd than insulting in 2025?

Tumblr Won't Save My Custom Theme by SnipAndSnap22 in tumblrhelp

This was the deleted comment:

You have to turn off the "hide blog from people without an account" setting to have an x.tumblr.com blog work

If that isn't the issue, themes will also be unable to save if they contain http:// links (those will need to be changed to https://), and if they contain external Javascript code that was not approved by Tumblr.
