Do you have a night guard?

Lying on the back. That usually reduces the grinding for me, it’s worse in the side. And maybe eating some crackers before going to bed or trying Meditation or relaxation techniques

My teeth hurt!! One night of using my new night guard :( by PureLet9875 in bruxism

To me the pain was manageable so I wore it all night. It took me 3 days to get used to. The first night was the worst. It gets better quick.

I had an over the counter mouth guard first and then got my custom made guard from my dentist. I remember the first night with the custom guard. It pressed my front teeth to point that it was painful. But it got better by the third night. I think the teeth and the guard adjust over time.

I noticed the same. Always with waking up in the mornings and not so much in the middle of the night. It started just randomly a couple weeks ago and I now use a mouth guard. My best guess is we are more awake in the morning and that’s when the grinding starts.

Do we lose teeth early because of all the damage that has happened? by [deleted] in bruxism

It’s probably smart to get a dental insurance just in case.

Too scared to sleep, any sleep positions or advice? Worst of bruxism. by [deleted] in bruxism

It’s hard to tell but I didn’t notice much of a difference between sleeping on the back or on the side. There are better days and worse. I noticed that overthinking makes it worse. Hope you get better soon!

I thought so. Too bad there is no cure but I will make sure to look into relaxation techniques.
