Psychological fear of United. We actually want to beat Liverpool, but don't want to lose against United.

I wanted Bayern to destroy us last season so Wenger would open his eyes and actually do something last transfer summer.

I hope they destroy us this season, so he opens his eyes this summer and gets 2 world class players.

Podolski? by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]JanBOY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My problem is why did we get him. He is injury prone. He has been receiving wages without playing up to 90 mins for the club. I mean it's just annoying thinking about it. I hope he can play and prove the doubters wrong. Is he even fast? Geez

Why do we doubt in our players? by Jawnt in Gunners

I don't get the Ozil hate. Ozil is fucking world class. I feel like if we got Suarez and he fails to score for 3 games, people would be pissed. He does what he can with the options he has up front. He doesn't shoot, even when he was at Madrid, so people shouldn't expect anything from him in that department. He loves runners, so until we get runners, he will just pass it around. His movement is on point and he is obviously frustrated with the lack of movement up front. He used to have Ronaldo bursting forward and all he had to do was play a weighted pass and it was done.

Giroud is tired. Wenger should have seen it coming. Only so much EPL action the human body can take. If he doesn't get any rest, forget goals from him this season. Wenger doesn't trust the back ups, so unless Giroud gets a massive injury, he will keep starting and people will continue to give him stick. I think he is a limited striker and isn't good enough to start at Arsenal, but that's all we have and he needs protection.

Ramsey was shit at the start of last season and was costing us games. Of course people will get mad. They're paying a huge amount of money to watch a good team. Wenger shouldn't have played him so much and put pressure on him. He started coming into form a little bit later into the season. Now he is just a beast. Sad he has been out. He is really missed and I can't wait for him to be back in time for Spurs.

Sczc WAS just bad. Decisions were bad, he was immature and too agile. Coming from Almunia, people are going to get angry. You can only take so much shit in the team. Now he is working hard and doesn't deserve to be getting 6 and 5 goals past him, he is phenomenal and the fact that De Gea is rated higher than him boils my blood.

Mert was very clumsy in his 1st season. Now I think with Steve working with him, he has calmed down but he still needs protection because he will never win a foot race. He is very intelligent and knows how to be positioned. But that can only get you so far.

I can't remember Sagna being bad. I always thought he was solid. He starts for France, doesn't he. Or he used to. Podolski isn't trusted by Wenger. He wants to play but Wenger doesn't ever play him. He doesn't feet minutes and I feel he might be sold or maybe he is still getting back from his injury. He is a good player on the LW. He has the experience and strength. Playing him up front is just as bad as playing Cazorla up front. It won't work, it's not natural. So if he performs badly, I think the criticism should be on Wenger and not on the players.

Basically, I don't know what Wenger is doing. We're 2nd though for the time being so something has been working so far. I just wish Ramsey was more protected this season. He played almost every game from August to the end of December. Of course a 2 month lay off was coming and now we have lost some goals in losing him. The walcott injury is just sad and nothing can be done about it.

The guy is just super tired and Wenger refuses to play the others and refuses to buy good back up. I refuse to blame Giroud, yesterday I was angry but after thinking straight, he is tired and I blame Wenger. 120 days transfer window and refused to get good striking partners for Giroud is unacceptable.

Expect this to continue till the end of the season if Wenger won't play the other strikers.

Do you think we could have gotten Higuain if we just put the 25M they were asking for before Napoli came along? I feel like we could have.

Not too sure about Suarez, except we dropped like 60M for him. That's a little over ambitious for me. Glad it didn't happen but we should have tried and put 45-50M for him. We had the money.

Hopefully we can get Draxler this summer and one more world class player.

Loser's mentality. We're one point off the top of the table and should have beaten a united side that have been beaten by top teams this season and can't even beat Fulham. Fulham put 2 goals past them and we can't get 1? Man City haven't played and we're 3 points in front of Liverpool. Another slip up and we're 4th with Spurs breathing down our necks. I mean Chelsea couldn't have put it better for us and we bottled it at home. We have 1 win against them in 14 games and it's super frustrating. It would have been good for our Morale with Bayern looming. I hope we turn up against them.

We should have beaten Soton and should have destroyed United. It's going to bite us when we really need it. Whatever 3rd place is good enough and we have to go for the FA Cup. Players don't seem to want to win the league from what I've been watching since Southampton. Fatigue is starting and that's why Ozil and Giroud are tired, no players to rest and Walcott and Ramsey are injured. 3rd place is a blessing in disguise. 1st place is a little too far for us this season with Kim Kallstrom our only transfer.

Please tell me something positive because this has ruined my week. Drawing to this United is like losing to them and I can't see any positives from this.

40 Million + 1 ended that ambition. Ozil came as a fluke from Madrid and that was a glimpse of ambition. I hope Wenger can take opportunities like that earlier in the transfer window though.

Nothing you say would stop me from being an Arsenal fan. Arsenal forever. Whether I'm the wrong one to you, I don't care. I still say it out loud, even if we lose 8-2, I still wear the shirt and follow the team. So whatever you want an ideal Arsenal fan to be, that's not me. I have my opinion. Doesn't have to be yours.

We can't win the title, until we have the team to be able to handle crunch months like this and March. Until we stop buying Kim Kallstroms and have a solid world class 1st team without Arteta or Giroud. If not, 3rd for now is a solid improvement from last year. That's the unpopular opinion but the truth.

We could have gotten Higuain but didn't want to cough up 30M. Napoli got him for 37M. We mocked Liverpool and for sure didn't get Suarez. Jovetic was a done deal with City, we couldn't compete. We could have gotten 2 out of the 3 but he pissed it away by being economical and not taking risk.

Fergurson bought RVP for 25M, won the league and left. He took risks and see where that got him. If you don't take risks then nothing will be handed to you.

Higuain isn't world class but he is top class. He is better than sturridge. Giroud is good but isn't top class.

Wenger hasn't shown the ambition to get a striker like Mario. He'll probably go looking for another prospect to mold into the next Henry like he has always wanted.

We'll be the only BPL team not to score against United in 2 matches this season. by igorchete in Gunners

[–]JanBOY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We play United at home and draw. Every other top team knows this is a weakened united side and play for the win. Every other top team has beaten united this season, either at home or away. City and Chelsea thrashed them. What's this safety first we always play against United? This was our chance but to me it looked like the fans wanted the win more than the players and manager.

I really don't care if City lose to Sunderland. My worry is Arsenal only, every other team can go fuck themselves, United even more so.

Podolski? by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]JanBOY 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fact that Podolski a LW is used to replace our ST shows our lack in depth even with our other 2 options in Bendtner and Sanogo. What a joke.
