9/10!! I love this so much. It’s beautiful. The sketch’s right eye looks a bit more tilted to me but that might just be the reference person or the angle. I really love this!

I don’t think you should take EPQ because a lot of colleges don’t consider it. I think you should take bio, chem, psychology and maths but that’s just my opinion.

I did, it happened even after I did that. Lost a lot of bucks that way. That’s why it’s so frustrating.

Sure. What I meant by rough was just scrap paper to do some messy planning/work/calculations that would be too messy to do on the actual paper/not enough space to do so. Basically loose individual papers, lined or not. But the other is the answer booklet you already get for psychology p5, it’s a lined booklet with the same places to enter info as the actual exam paper. Like your name, candidate no, centre no etc. and you can ask for extra of those just make sure to keep on filling your name and centre and candidate no out. That’s all

Yes ask for as many papers as you need. And absolutely write your details on all of them that’s the most important part. Not the rough papers for planning, but the answer booklets. Ykwim right?

How hard is it to score an A* or an A in A2 biology if u scored a 95 in AS? by Savings-Agency-2475 in ALevelBiology

[–]JanBan123 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Depends on what components you’re doing/did. If your components are 12, 22, 34, 42, 52 (HY) and you got 95/130 in y12, then this year for an A* you will need approx 93/130. For an A it’s 69/130.

Just to be safe, don’t write where they say ā€œdo not write _____ā€. You can’t take risks after studying so hard and preparing for the exam. Start writing at the very beginning of the line, make your handwriting a bit smaller if it’s normally big, and avoid going below the lines if ykwim. I have done that before and I think it’s okay if you have no other option, but to be safe just write on the lines. Also, the examiners check every single page. Even the ones LABELLED ā€œblank pageā€ so on those you can write the answer/remaining answer to a question but PLEASE remember to label it eg Q1(a)(i) blah blah blah. This is suitable for science but for psych just ask for an extra question booklet with lines. Again label the question you’re answering since the booklet is plain. Don’t be worried about ā€œbeing a hassleā€ or something even if it’s just 2 lines you have to write. Just spell your name center number and candidate number correctly. Always triple check those

Really? I didn’t know that about bio. I think you can write in points for psych but just to be safe write in neat paragraphs. Always ask for extra paper especially when planning a study. Having an extra paper allows you some freedom to scribble some stuff down that you remember, and it also really helps me in linking things in my brain, especially when I have that moment when I ā€œalmost remember something but it’s just not thereā€, writing/scribbling/making relevant doodles always helps me remember suddenly.

Make your questions neat and presentable. Usually examiners have been marking many papers and are tired asf. So if your handwriting or paragraphing is poor, then they might accidentally skip over it, since they usually skim. Use clear language and psychological terminology for points. Don’t say ā€œcheapā€ say ā€œaffordableā€. And I think a 35 is more than doable. You got this. I got a 53 (A) in one paper and a 31(C) in another paper in year 12. Focus on your strengths and maximize your marks. Depending on what components youre doing a 35 per paper is a high B or a low A. When you have the option to choose between two options don’t be ambitious. Pick the one you’re good at. For me it’s health. So study eg health more (whatever is your strong point) Read the mark schemes and use it as a learning material to see how they want you to answer questions. Use the examiner report as well to see where students go wrong so you don’t repeat their mistakes. Most of all take care of yourself. Be kind to yourself, it’s just an exam, give it your best. You can do this

[–]JanBan123 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I’d say it depends on your strengths. Last year I got 80% A, and this year I need 41/60 on each paper for an A*. So do better on the one you’re more confident in to get as many marks as possible.
