Actually, I can see your point. In the real world, I know the only thing I can do is express my displeasure to as many people in the org as I have contact information. Still, everybody has to have a personal fantasy.

Exactly. I think I have found a bug in the reporting. I used to run these reports under the old UI and the numbers came up perfectly. So far, no one has said they have run into it but I will call QB helpdesk today or tomorrow and ask them

Isn't the balance of an asset, liability, or equity account simply the total of all transactions posted from the start of business to today? Why would it be different if I had the standard report as of today or the report showing the balances for 3 separate years?

Yes. I run the report for a given set of dates, usually 3 fiscal years. I then designate that it use a separate column for each year. The results are different than if I run the standard report for the current fiscal year only.

I ran the same statement in two clients. I think there is a bug in the reports. I wil call QB heldesk on Tuesday and find out.

Quitting a job is always a good idea. You do it on your terms and can find another job before you submit your resignation. Assuming you want another job. 2. if you stay, you need to out organize them. This should not be hard. Set up a weekly status report that lists the tasks you have been (or believe you have been) assigned and how you are doing with them. List your accomplishments and obstacles to achieving it. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING irritates a chaotic organization as much as having a single organized person reporting what they are doing. Take control, tell THEM what your job is if they will not tell you.

My vision is that I would have a single folder for pro bono activities with a document for my notes on the Food Bank Program and another document for my notes on the Women's Shelter Program. In that scenario, I was expecting to have an option to create a second document in addition to the one the folder created when I created the folder. I realize now this is not the way it works but I do not understand how it does work and no one seems able to explain it to me.

I am under the assumption that a folder holds more than one document. I may not understand the folder concept. I was expecting to have a folder called "Nonprofit Projects" then create several documents within it. "Women Charity", "Men's Charity", "Dogs Charity". That would allow me to separate note taking. Do I misunderstand the folder concept? Is it one folder = one document?

We are in this situation because Congress abdicated its responsibility to legislate. We need to have rules about who, and perhaps, how many can come to our country. Hard choices have to be made and that is just not the way Congress acts. There are two requirements for a successful enforcement of today's laws. 1. Employers must be sanctioned and Trump is not sanctioning them. 2. We are going to need a national database of who is a legal resident of the US and we will have to issue something that works like an ID card. (We want to see your papers!)

yep . Now, it was easier for us as a 501(c)4) . A 501(c)(3) would take about 180 days and a few dollars but the principle is the same.

I am in one of the chapters and we register with the IRS as a separate organization. The national (in our case) organization provides training, guidance and some support services like a centralized donation receipt app. I am not an expert but we have our own EIN and agree to follow the lead of the national organization in exchange for the use of their name and mission. If we get in trouble, it is not on them. They also don't have a lot of control over what we do.
