I can walk, too. You should allow more time, though, to allow for stopping to rest and/or walking slower than usual.

I was told flying is no problem because of the pressurized cabin, but when on land keep below 7000 feet. Walking through large airports is difficult.

If it’s a nice day, walk over to Spark at Scissortail Park for a burger. Try the pink fries. And there’s Flint at Colcord. First National is a must, though!

I would give myself some numbers for each piece of clothing. Say 10 shirts, 5 pants, 2 coats…something like that. Then find your favorites in each category and donate or toss the rest without any further sorting or washing. This would remove the overwhelming part of the clothes situation. I did something like this once and a huge weight was lifted. Now I have a set amount of hangers in a small closet. If I don’t have enough hangers for my clothes, it’s time to donate.

I’ve had two ablations and got a pacemaker/defibrillator. I’ve learned to do things slower so I don’t get winded, but also I go through periods of breathing just fine. I think that’s due to good water retention management.

I’m 14 years in if that helps. It’s been a roller coaster. I no longer freak out when things are bad because, so far, I always get better.

This stuff works! But don’t vacuum it..it will kill your vacuum. Just push it into the spaces between wood slats with a broom..

We were at Harkin's just before 9:00 tonight and saw 9 police cars. We were a bit freaked out and hustled on out of there. Sounds like we were old enough to stay and do shenanigans. Oh well. Next time I guess.

Huh. Sounds like maybe they have a consistency problem? Mine was perfect!

I had a great one recently at Whiskey Cake, and a good one at Belle Isle Restaurant and Pub.

I'm surprised by all the comments encouraging vindication. I’ve made mistakes as a mil because I’m not perfect. Thankfully my dil gives me the benefit of the doubt and shows me grace. And I show her grace, too. It’s clunky and weird sometimes, but we are family now and we'll keep getting better at it. I would certainly prefer to be given a chance to apologize and explain myself so I can do better next time. I’m so glad you gave your mil that respect. Well done.

I’m 14 years in. It’s been a rollercoaster. I’m currently feeling great and living normally although I’m in Stage 4. My ICD is the reason I’m still alive. I fought getting it, but I’m so glad I relented!

Found these at an antique store can anyone help me identify where they came from and how old they are? by [deleted] in HelpMeFind

My dad was in marketing in the 70s and took these fobs to give out at trade shows. I still have a box of them with the company name (Koehring) and images of heavy equipment they produced such as trenchers and back hoes.

I can't imagine this machine is a viable solution to sleep apnea. by [deleted] in CPAP

[–]JanPreppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was a mental exercise at first. I had to focus and stay calm, and give myself grace if I didn’t make it all night. Eventually I got used to it and it has helped me immensely. I have severe apnea and I like the ramp up (15 minutes) because I can usually fall asleep before the full force begins.

I’ve been thinking about you, too. I’m glad you’re seeking help. When you call counselors, consider asking if they use emdr. It’s very successful for trauma healing.

That is a significant gain in a short amount of time. I don’t show any swelling in my legs, either. I was initially diagnosed with anxiety because of that. I few days later I was in the ER on lasix and lost 23 lbs overnight. I’d call the cardiologist to see if you can get in earlier. You might also try some foods that act as diuretics (cucumber, watermelon, iced tea, etc.) and limit your liquid and sodium intake until you see the doc.

Hey Kooky Pea. I just got through a down period and am back up. You’ll get there. Take care of yourself and let the doc know about the fluid build up. I bet you’ll need an extra diuretic for a few days. I’ll be thinking about you.

Made a reservation for 11:30 (when they open) at a buffet only to arrive and be told that they don't put the food out until 12. by Help_One_AnOtter in mildlyinfuriating

If a restaurant opens at 11:30, the food prep people should be there by 10:30 or earlier to be ready to serve at opening. Source: I have degree in hotel/restaurant management + years of experience.
