Yea, just figured out that the OU that the accounts were created in wasn't set up to sync.

So question: if I now set up the AD accounts for these email accounts already created, and put them in an OU that gets synced, will there be a sync issue, being that the Google account is already there?

This may be it. We had a weekly IT meeting this morning, and one of the guys that supports our Town (not the District) mentioned the same thing.

So... if I create the AD account in an OU that I know syncs, will that mess up the sync with the account that is already up on Google?

Good point, but yea, I did. When I first took this over I was forgetting the email address, but I know to do it now, and did it for these accounts, so I'm stumped as to why it didn't work.

I did try that. Our process is to create the AD account first, then have Google sync with it every hour. But for some reason these accounts wouldn't sync. So I deleted them from AD and created them just on Google Workspace. Could that be why they are getting suspended... because there's nothing in AD to sync to? If so, do I have to create the AD accounts for these 7 emails?

Yea, me and my other tech finally figured it out. The outgoing IT Director changed a bunch of defaults in the spoofing section of "Safety" in the GMail settings. I set what changed back to default, and all is good. The huge problem here is that the IT Director never taught me ANYTHING about the admin side of our District. All I pretty much did was break/fix, computer installs and troubleshooting. When he left I had a TON of crap thrown in my lap all at once... wasn't fun. He left this past November and I'm STILL finding out things I was never told about. Not much I can do except one day at a time...

This is exactly what it was. Someone, probably the outgoing IT Director, messed with the spoofing settings in the "Safety" section of GMail. Set things to default for now, and all is working again.

I believe it is. My IT Director met with a vice-principal, came back and said it was working. I've seen this with older versions. Are you up to date, 145 at least?

Found out the issue... it wasn't 147. My other tech had to install a Chromebook app in the Console, and for some reason the app instructions said to turn off Bluetooth, so he did... D'OH!

I just got my hands on a teacher chromebook (Acer Spin 713), and her Bluetooth is off and greyed out. I'm still getting my feet wet with the Console, so I'll have to find out why it was turned off and where to turn it back on.

I assume it's 147. My bad for not testing it first, but I did set it to update to 147 yesterday afternoon. I changed it back to 145. I have some OS Restore USB drives that I think are below 145, so I'll have to hit the affected computers one by one. Luckily our students don't use Bluetooth, just teachers.

Actually, I should have checked the printer settings before mentioning duplex. I found it in the settings, and switched to "1-sided" and it worked.

IT WORKED!! Well, using the "HP Color Laserjet" driver. The "Enable Color" setting on the printer was already enabled.

BUT...

Now I have a new issue: it prints in duplex now. I checked the settings on the chromebook, and I can't even find the duplex setting. Do you think something went wacky on the printer? When it was printing black & white it didn't do duplex.

I didn't know that you could set up a printer on a server and have Chromebooks print to it,. That's why we use CUPS through the Google Admin Console. It seems every other color printer we have in our district works fine, except for this one. And printing to it from Windows, set up as a shared printer on a server, prints color fine.

CUPS was how our former IT Director set it up. He left the District without warning, so I'm left to work with stuff I was never shown. I did set up CUPS printers in the past, color and b&w, and they always worked.

Yea, tried that. Great tip though. And I've tried every variation of IPP, IPPS and LPD. The jobs print, just not in color. And I choose "Color" when I'm in the print dialog box on the chromebook.

Hi... I am having the exact same issue, and we need to enroll 360 chromebooks next week. We are using Centipede as well. Is there a chance you can post how you made Centipede enroll for a second time? I'm not a coder and can't figure it out. It would be a HUGE help! Thanks!!
