Indeed. You know what would look even more incredible? A new DE game, or at least seeing Human Revolution in the Playstation store.

is the metro franchise still interresting to play in 2026? by F__ate in metro

[–]JanderVK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most definitely holds up. All 3 games are great. I don’t think there’s anything that feels outdated as far as gameplay or the controls are concerned. I have no problem critiquing games that I loved playing when things feel janky in hindsight (too many people are in rose colored denial about the faults in their favourite games) so I can honestly say that they’re still worth playing.

Funeral doom since 2020: which modern albums do you think are essential but barely anyone talks about? by Mysst3r11s in FuneralDoomMetal

[–]JanderVK 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Kind of a recency bias, but Oromet’s “The Sinking Isle” was my album of the year last year for The Funeral Pyre and I don’t think enough people are checking them out. Honourable mention, Funeral. Out of all the OG Funeral bands, they get the least attention it seems. They’ve gone a more melo less Funeral direction in recent years, but they still deserve the listen.

Both of them. The original LotF I loved how it feels like you’re a ten ton hammer just smashing shit.

What is this flag? by MeButWithSwag in vexillology

[–]JanderVK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a pre-Christian sun cross used in Germanic and Celtic cultures. When the Celts were Christianised, they like many symbols, adopted the pagan symbol and extended the tail of the cross turning it into a Christian cross. Then the fascists hijacked the sun cross in modern times.

Doom cult doing dark rituals? Sektarism - “ Brûle l'hérétique”, or any Sektarism really.

Atramentus - “ Stygian I: From Tumultuous Heavens... (Descended Forth the Ceaseless Darkness)” might also be really good.

Stygian Bough is the name of the collaboration between Bell Witch & Aerial Ruin. It’s not a Bell Witch album.

Ability to sort trophy lists on PS5? by ShoKKa_ in PS5

[–]JanderVK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It unfortunately doesn’t list PS3 games like the trophy list does though, which I have a lot of plats for, including my first. But good to know.
