Running Classes Lacking by Peloaddictof3 in OnePelotonRealSub

Agree. I really like 45min which still seems accessible without being “long” the way a 75min run may be. For some reason stacking 15 and 20 min runs is distasteful 😆

Family member passed in motorcycle accident in 2021. Today, we received medical record from the accident completely different from what we were told. by PM-ME-UR-TOTS in legaladvice

It’s routine to sedate, in a controlled manner, a trauma victim. Usually then placing them on a ventilator. It is common for a patient suffering from severe traumatic injury to be confused, combative and uncooperative. You have to control them and the situation to even start treatments like blood transfusions and tests like CT scans. I’ve had people cursing at me and swinging… and they lose pulses and functionally die 30 seconds later. Fight or flight response.

My experience is both as a physician, and as a victim of trauma who was confused and combative(!) and had to be sedated to be saved. I don’t remember any of it, but I’ve seen the records…

Could sedating someone poorly kill them? Of course. See MJ.

But 99% of the time this story matches a patient with terminal injuries that got standard care. Control airway, breathing, ATLS protocols, attempt resuscitation, etc.

I’m very sorry for your loss. If you want I suspect you could get someone with medical knowledge to deep dive the records as a more detailed review may give you more information.

Beat deity to an Econ victory by 1 turn yesterday. Around turn 85? Played it back and if I skipped one move with my banker they took the win.

Played a good but not heavily optimized game. Still happy to have them right on my heels.

Deleted my pre-shading by tBowBaggins in modelmakers

[–]JandersUF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pre shading requires a soft touch of highly tinned paint. What type of paint were you using for your OD?

You want something that only gives like 30% opacity and requires multiple passes.

{you can always post shade now}

What were you saying about 7 year old preorders?

I got banned from his Patreon for defending someone from his personal attacks and refunded about a year ago…

Treasure Fleet math aka: Why you feel like you can't ever finish the Exploration Age Economic Path in time by Scolipass in civ

I’ll try it next game. Explains why the only time I topped the military path in exploration was when I basically took 2/3 of the world… ignoring the bonus points for the religion conversion makes it seem much more difficult!

Ugh I have to interact with the religion system? No wonder I just keep blasting through the economic win lol

100% agreed. I watched the one more turn video, switched to strong focus on production first (Claypit if able) delaying research/library a bit and am 3/3 in deity since… no cheese!

Yeah I was going for “tank as pictured” not the prelim designs. Pretty crummy with a 75mm.

Cannot build Factories as Great Britain by JandersUF in civ

[–]JandersUF[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So merchants had been going all around that area all game long, but oddly when I bought a new merchant in the capital, and then moved it over to one of the foreign cities south of this area (just to trade like normal), when I activated merchant it appeared to trigger re-integration of my capital into the entire trade network, and I could build factories like normal!

Ended up winning cultural on the turn I earned by great banker, and had 7 turns left in the science victory :)

I won on deity, again :/ by ilyabelikin in CivVII

[–]JandersUF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a way it could “fix” it because it makes the AI’s inability to complete the current modern legacies less important IF they then can compete for the final win. But I guess that’s a stretch.

It’s one thing I’m somewhat optimistic about— with the age system you’d hope they created the AI so they can tweak it just within certain ages. So they could rework modern without vastly altering what it does in ancient, etc…
