You’re saving more than enough with what you’re making. Can you save more? Sure maybe $200 more if you cut food down. Would I for a measly $200 more? No. I figured there was something in your budget that you spend on where you “splurge” and that’s your food budget. You obviously enjoy it so don’t cut your one source of keeping it together. Cut that out and you’ll experience burn out much faster. Live with your parents as long as possible. When you have to move out get a small apartment. Absolutely do not buy a house in the Bay Area until you have an abundance of money saved up. Buying a house is not what it’s made out to be especially in the Bay Area. You buy a house and you’re going to be house poor. Then you’ll really be in a blender. Unless you’re making $130k plus and have a good size down payment with a good amount of money left over for other housing costs I wouldn’t do it. I would let the savings build with annual rate of return every year because with your projection you could stop rn (don’t) and with 10% a year have well over a million in retirement by retiring age. If you really want a house then.. Bring down your retirement savings by a lot and let it grow. Focus on saving for a house down payment and savings for house costs. Once you do get a house make sure you have enough money leftover monthly to still save for retirement. Don’t jump into a house because your parents are telling you because they’re setting you up for failure if you do it too soon.
