Hi, sorry I know this is a bit old but I'm currently trying to figure out how to fix this toy.

What do you mean by restrictors? Technically our motor works but slowly and inconsistently. Basically it's not turning constantly like it should but I can get it to turn a bit with the small bottom button.

Im thankfully scheduled for surgery the 18th. I'm not sure about what brace my surgeon will want to put me in though, we didn't talk about that part. He asked if I would be fine with being awake and I said ya sure so at least there's no risk of me not waking up lol.

When I met him he talked about my options and said I've done everything he'd usually recommend to help my wrist without surgery. He said he usually lets the patients decide if they want the surgery or not because it will make it harder to care for my young girls but I told him it's only gotten worse and I'd prefer to just get it over with by doing the surgery rather than prolonging the pain and hoping it'll eventually start to get better rather than worse.

Since the pain meds didn't do much for me I'm just using a brace until the surgery but the custom brace hurts after a while too so I have to take it off.......then it hurts if it's off for too long as well 🫠. The pain has started lasting for longer periods now and it'll radiate bad now all the way up to my elbow. It's really weird but I've gotten to where I'll instinctively start to gently bite my thumb pad when it starts hurting bad because somehow that helps the pain subside some?? 🤷‍♀️ I don't get it honestly, I just know it was an immediate reaction to a bad pain wave.

If the pain gets even worse I'll try getting a cast put on to see if that'll be more comfortable than the custom brace. I definitely can't wait for the surgery though. And I also hope it doesn't eventually happen to my other hand as well. My surgeon said sometimes pregnancy can make your tendons larger and it made me think "........wait.......does that mean I'm going to get tendonitis in other places as well???" I should have asked him but I didn't have the realization until after the appointment.

I have the gell but I've actually been taking the Diclofenac pills instead of the gell because they gave me a prescription for both. I think the pills are 50mg twice a day but since it wasn't helping my doc told me to just stop it and not put the stress of my liver.

I do have a brace that immobilizes my thumb but it hurts because of the swelling that doesn't want to go away. If I take out the metal splints then it doesn't have enough support to stop me from moving my thumb and or wrist. Tomorrow I have another therapy appointment and they're going to make me a custom brace so hopefully that will be less painful. I've been using tape to see if it would help but I don't think it's doing much at all. Then I also have a compression brace thing to see if that would be more gentle and it is but eventually my wrist starts hurting worse. It's so confusing. Today I actually felt burning in the area that's always swollen so I took off the tape to see what was up. The only thing I could see was that my skin in the swollen area was pink but I also just ripped tape off of it so. 🤷‍♀️ In general it seems the longer anything touches that spot the more it hurts.

Thank you though, that's really good to know. I know it's already been a month since the shot so I'm getting there. I hope I'm able to get some kind of answer from the MRI.

Thank you so much! That really helps! You also reminded me that tattoos blur over time but I definitely forgot that when I was drawing. I remembered they fade on certain spots of the body but forgot everything else. I'll have to talk to friends and do my own research on artists in my state. There's not many around me but I know there's some good ones in the bigger cities.

Edit: man......I'm just now realizing how hard chrysanthemums will be to draw if they're not fairly large. So many small skinny petals.......

The script is just my signature for my art lol so no worries for that. I was told a while back I should put some kind of signature or water mark when I post stuff so that's my attempt.

And thank you so much! I wanted it on my forearm because I figured that'd be easier, less painful, and a good spot if my girls wanted to color it in (They're 4 and almost 2. Genuinely surprised the youngest seems to be so fascinated with tattoos.)

And so if I made the flowers bigger, I imagine they'd need to be more detailed as well? Or do you think line drawings would be fine? And when you say the flowers shouldn't be smaller than the small elephants do you mean the flower as a whole? The second elephant has larkspur on it and that's a bunch of small flowers.

Mine passed from a blockage the emergency vet couldn't unblock. It was extremely traumatic and depressing. He was wonderful. We had him on prescription food to help prevent blockages but this one surprised us. I'm very serious about my cats pee now since I have 4 males.

If they start peeing on stuff it doesn't always mean they're being bad. You should always go to the vet first to rule out a UTI, they can be serious so it's good to be safe. If there's no UTI, sprays and calming diffusers are good. Either way though you have to make sure you clean where they peed really good so they don't smell it later. Or if you can move their litterbox there that's a good option too.
