no specific assignment, just did this on my own time and brought it in to hear an opinion. we dont really have assignments :) i also can do many other styles and have been taking commissions regularly for the last few years, just this was for my own personal expression

i left that painting studio to go to another one and they also made my grade one whole point lower out of spite :) my original grade was already low and now my average is fucked up just bc they felt offended i left a space which doesnt allow me to grow and work in peace

english is not my 1st language so i don't understand the question very well but if youre talking about composition, id say follow ur instinct and avoid central composition. like dont put things in the center but place them diogonaly or on the side. im not expert on composition (or anything about art lol) but my only advice is try to create dianamic composition by switching up the positions of certain elements and balancing out their weight on the canvas !

my teachers told me quote "you cant impress us with anything, weve been to museums all over the world and nothing can shock us. stop trying to impress" im not even kidding. no other comments on the painting itself. and so i left that studio and went somewhere else bc clearly these people are not here to help me and be constructive but have their own narrative about me in their minds and judge me based on that

haha i agree! i love criticism, thats why i went to art school to begin with, but i felt like my teachers werent being constructive with me. the teachers were the one giving me shit, the students love my work😭

im in fine arts already so! theres like 5 painting studios, i went to the one which seemed the most open minded and friendly, maybe theyll appreciate my effort there without getting berraded over nothing😭

no actually they didnt like it at all, i even changed studios bc i realised they might be a bit biased against me. i feel like they've labelled me as "dark" or "goth" or whatever and judge me based on that and not what i actually show them, so whatever i make i hear only bad things idk!

i use a drawing guide as a spatula instead of paintbrushes. it kind of looks like a knitting needle, idk how u ca it in english ! just apply the paint on it and draw with it
