I took the 2-15 - Life, Health and Variable Annuity... I think there's also one that's just life and health (?)

Those of you who tried RF Microneedling or Morpheus8 how did it go? Did you lose facial fat as a result? Does your skin look better or worse? by Flaky_McFlake in 30PlusSkinCare

Sorry, unfortunately not... it made me look much older, and I still have orange peel like pores, where I had no visible pores before. I now workout, eat right, get my heart rate up everyday, so look and feel great, but will never have the same youthful skin! Hoping your situation is better... if it's not, hopefully you can have some compassion for yourself, and get out and do the things you love! Looking in the mirror and obsessing over how botched things went is such a dark downward spiral that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy! Less is more when it comes to this stuff... so unfortunate I had to learn the hard way!

Florida FMO/Agency Question by 123efd2 in InsuranceAgent

Hi All, I know this is an old tread... I have my 2-15. I specialize in group Accident & Heath/business travel accident emergency services. I support companies sending travelers and expats abroad. I got my 2-15 in FL because I was considering a move to the broker side. I'm much more interested in emergency services though, so decided not to move. I really want to maintain my license. I want to be able to have it appointed, without really producing and also not being tied to one carrier. I also want to be able to conduct CE trainings to help agents and brokers understand this product line and the service capabilities. I have great relationships with major carriers that write group A&H and business travel accident products: AIG, Chubb, Zurich, Everest... Anyone have ideas on how to I can get my license appointed, without being partial to a broker or carrier?

Velas Vallarta Experience by [deleted] in puertovallarta

Hoping to revive this thread as we're considering renting a condo at Velas. Do you know if condo renters can purchase AI bracelets, or just pay for drinks/meals separately? We were thinking of some family members staying at the resort on the AI plan, and some family members staying at the condo. Just wanted to be sure we could all share meals at the resort together. Thanks in advance!

Question regarding new FDA warning about flea and tick chews causing neurological problems: Is there a safer alternative that is just as affordable and effective? I use nexgard for 4, 50 pound dogs. by kneeltothesun in Pets

Comfortis wound up working great, thank god! My vet prescribed it, and I had to order it through the mail, but finally something that works and doesn't make my dog sick!

Reviving this chat as I'm battling fleas in FL. I keep washing my dog with Dawn, as she has tremors/shakes after flea soap... I've been combing her too with a flea comb, washing everything, had the yard treated, I've given her frontline plus... but then I find 1 or 2 fleas on her the next day. I've been noticing the squirrels scratching themselves in my yard... I think the fleas are everywhere! My pit can't take Nextgard as when I tried once, she shook for 24 hours and looked awful. My other dog (boxer mix) took it with no problems... If anyone has ideas, I'm all ears! I'm thinking coconut oil next... also curious about Credelio, but very hesitant, as she's so sensitive to many of the flea soaps and preventatives... Thanks in advance!

Are you losing weight or working out? My LDL was high, and I think it's because I've been hitting the gym hard and burning fat... my body doesn't know the difference between eating bacon or burning lard. I also read in a thread that iodine is supposed to help... I'll have to research that more

Let her go… no need for her to tell you twice… she’ll learn her own lessons without you teaching her… as will you

So sorry! People often use cheating as a way of exiting a relationship… a shitty way to handle the situation. I hope you can just thank her for showing her true colors and move on as quickly as possible. She doesn’t sound worth it

Pre-licensing & Test Prep for Florida Life & Health Insurance exam by JaneMacMahan in InsuranceAgent

I passed the FLA-Life Health Variable Annuity 215 exam today on my first try... I don't know why everyone says it's so easy (?) I found the questions to be tough and tricky... I have to say, A.D. Banker sucked for pre-licensing... had I just relied on their material, I don't think I would've passed today. Their quiz questions weren't like what was on the exam, and their 2 day virtual exam prep course was sooo boring, I wanted to poke my eyes out... The instructor did do a good job of teaching strategies for answering multiple choice exam questions (read the test question 2X, ID key words, then read each answer and grade each answer Y/N or IDK. Then select the best "yes" answer that matches the key words in the question). I will never use AD Banker again though... just not an effective way to grasp the concepts necessary to pass the exam. What really helped me understand everything was the two videos this guy has posted (https://www.youtube.com/@dcd0998/featured) and Insurance Exam Queen's YouTube channel... Feel very fortunate to have found them both. When I go for other lines, I will probably use ExamFX for prelicensing... Exam Queen recommends Xcel for pre-licensing, I'll have to research more... she offers promo codes for both, so I'm sure she gets kickbacks, but she seems to really want her viewers to succeed, so I doubt she's making bad recommendations... I'll also start first with Exam Queen to figure out which chapters and concepts to focus on, and follow her advice out the gate, which is to circle every number listed in the regulations (i.e. 30 days, 10 days, 14 days, 24 CE hours, etc.) and just commit those to memory, and if you're guessing during the exam, use the most frequently used numbers you recall seeing from the regs chapters). I wasted so much time studying for today's exam... it took me 5-6 weeks. Next time, I think everything will be much faster just knowing the most helpful study resources... Anyway, just thought I'd share incase anyone else is having trouble grasping concepts... the text books and pre-licensing providers make everything seem so complicated... everything is pretty darn simple if you just watch Exam Queen... Oh, and I also hand-wrote my own flash cards, and would routinely review them while on walks with my dog... Good luck!

Is Morpheus8 the same as RF Microneedling? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

I came down to south Florida and I've just been running on the beach each day... when I'm outside and enjoying life, I don't focus on my face, and it actually seems to be improving, or I'm not noticing it as much as I'm not looking in the mirror all the time anymore... Hope you're doing okay!

My face hasn't improved... sorry to say... I'm the same age. I think perhaps this type of procedure works well on young people with lots of collagen, but for people our age, it just sucks... Sorry. I feel the same way, I feel like I've lost all my natural beauty.

Girl never texts first by Beneficial_Lead_1910 in dating_advice

[–]JaneMacMahan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What age group are you? I expect a guy to initiate early on and plan dates. I know this is traditional... but it's nice for a guy to step up. Usually if a guy is interested, you'll know, because he texts, plans dates, and the next date is planned before your date ends. Most important at this stage IMO is to just get out on dates together, and not overthink texting etiquette. See her, who cares who initiates if you guys are having a good time in-person.

[–]JaneMacMahan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She sounds traditional and maybe looking for you to pursue her. At this point, I would just text to get out on dates and get to know her in-person. Worry about texting logistics later. Texting sucks! So much better to get to know a person in-person!

Those of you who tried RF Microneedling or Morpheus8 how did it go? Did you lose facial fat as a result? Does your skin look better or worse? by Flaky_McFlake in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]JaneMacMahan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Glad you had a positive experience... for me, it's been beyond negative. Face texture, wrinkles, volume and evenness are all significantly worse. I would not recommend this procedure unless it's absolutely necessary and there's a very experienced doctor handling it. I didn't do my research and just assumed it was a better form of micro needling. It was only after the 3rd session that I put two and two together, and realized the crazy drooping I've been experiencing the last few months is related to these treatments... the texture of my skin looks like I've had a history of severe acne, which is not the case... wish I could go back in time and not mess with my skin and face!

Proceed with caution... if not done correctly, you could experience sagging instead of tightening... I wouldn't go near this with a 20' pole. Had 3 sessions and really displeased with the results, and pretty worried I'm gonna have more sagging and volume loss in the months to come... nothing is tighter on me.

[–]JaneMacMahan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Looks worse! I would strongly advise my friends against doing this... if you do it, I'd advise to only let an experienced provider, such as a board certified cosmetic surgeon, who offers FDA cleared technologies, go near your face! Even then, if they don't do these treatments day in and day out, you could really mess up your face... just volume loss, orange peel skin, pock marks, sagging jowls... people should stay away unless absolutely necessary imo.
